Sony disk camcorder disk door open accidently error and disk will not play

You have to "close session" on the disk before it will play anywhere else but the camera. Same goes for a CD or DVD you make on your PC. It will play on your PC ok but not on any other player

Place an empty disc in, format the disc, record a little scene. Turn off camcorder. Place the error disc in the camcorder, turn on the camcorder all the way to play/edit. If this doesn't work turn it to record and try to record. Worked for some of my error disc

Which blank media do you have?
Check out CDFREAKS.com forum
Does your burner prefer + or- disks?
Try a slower burn speed
Try a different blank media.
Don't buy the cheapest disks

You have to finalize the recording using the Camcorder so that the disk can be play/run in any DVD Player or Computer.

It's possible because your DVD is an RW that someone could have reformatted it on accident erasing the video. If you have something important to preserve make sure you do not use an RW DVD because accidents can happen and it could get wiped out unintentionally.

The disk needs finalizing.
However this then will make the disk unusable for anything else
Switch to CR R or DVD R as appropriate

Iv got same problem, cant open door..got disk error 1st then drive error next
