Application List cannot be found

When I go to scan I get the following error message: Application List cannot be found...Application List cannot be retrieved.
We have been able to scan in the past...how do I fix this?

Yes . the problem is the scanning software is not properly installed . if u have the driver cd for the printer (make sure the cd is compaible with your operating system ) . reinstalling the drivers should fix the problem ,unless and firewall application on ur pc is blocking it .

Try to uninstall the printer driver and reinstalling again the said driver of printer, sometimes it couse problem when the program file of printer have error or corrupt.

Can't get my 4650 to scan

Hi,
Try the following link http://bit.ly/aLz1xL. You will find specific instructions on how to reset your device and fix the retrieve app list error. Another option is to completely remove the printer and the Lexmark software and then restart the PC, download the driver from the Lexmark.com website and install it, that has helped me before resolve this problem.

My printer wont scan every time i try it says can not retrieve application list what does this mean?

Please follow the steps given below to add applications to Imaging studio:
1. Open the Imaging Studio and then click "scan," after the scanned document appears as a preview.
2. Click "Other Software" at the bottom.
3. That will open up the list of application list, to modify the application list, click on "Modify Application List".
4. Please add the application you want to scan and click on "Close."

Cannot retrieve application list

Try resetting the printer by turning it off, disconnecting it from the computer, restart the computer, turn the printer back on and then reconnect it to the computer. If this doesn't work try reinstalling the drivers and software.

Device monitor application problem

Make sure that the Lexmark Imaging Studio program is running. This was installed when you set up your printer.
If you see the multi-colored icon in your task bar for Lexmark Imaging Studio then try pressing the scan mode button twice. You should be able to scan then.

you know some of the operating system if there is a corrupted file or dll some of the printers, USB and other devices in-counter this kind of problem you need to fix first your operating system then after that remove your printer driver and re-install again then then try to scan again..... hope this solution help you...
