Unable to use Memory Card with PC VISTA

Upgraded to new Gateway PC with VISTA. Previously had PC with XP Proessional. Epson Stylus 6600 worked perfect with XP, includng reading Memory Card and using the CX6600 Photo functions . BestBuy tech who installed PC with Visata made CX6600 compatible with VISTA to print from the PC, but disabled all CX6600 Card Reading and Photo printing capability. Can only print pictures from PC, memory card does nothing in the CX6600. How do I corect this problem so CX6600 works like before?

Original PC with XP "crashed". Purchased a new Gateway PC from Best Buy which came with VISTA. Best Buy does not sell PCs with XP anymore. Supposedly CX66600 would be compatabile - it is for printing from PC, that's all.

The scanning software for your printer must be installed separately from the printer software on Vista systems. The following link will take you to the page to download the scanning software....just find your model number and select it:

Have you ever booted in win7? It may be a win 7 issue not a memory issue. Does it boot with the 2 512 MBs of memory. unplug, remove battery, install the 512 MBs memory, reboot.

Gateway mx 6421 win764 driver issues

You could, drivers are based on manufacture. Like Realtek is a common maker of audio chips, and sometimes distributors use a popular motherboard.
You may have plateaued at Vista, by try the Troubleshooting Compatibility with Vista 64 drivers before you roll it back.

BTW - This happened to me with Win 8.

I have upgraded my system Os from XP SP3 to Windows 7, after that when I installed Epson Stylus CX2800, everything was working fine except Scan program

Get a windows 7 driver for the printer or an update from epson, un-install the old one then reinstall the upgraded software.It did the same with my Lexmark,but I did get the newer driver from Lexmark and it worked out fine.

Epson stylus photo r340 can't connect!

It shows on Epson's website that it supports Windows Vista 32-bit but it did not tell if it support SP2. It only means that it doesn't since you are encountering error on your computer.

Try to install it on another computer that is running Vista 32-bit SP1. If it works then it only means that the drivers are working but not compatible with Vista 32-bit SP2 yet.

Epson d88+ driver doesn't work with vista and updates don't eithe

it is possile that your driver is for XP only, if you can confirm that it is running very well previously w/c i suspect try downloading a letest version in Vista platform,

wrong driver can sometimes do this
