Purchased 3 days ago. How do you know when cycle is complete? Lights never go out, doesn't say in owners manual? What dry setting should I use? Manual doesn't say, dishes are still wet when I let

I have a eidw6105gw1, I purchased it 3 days ago. I have the manual but it does not say when you know a cycle is complete and it is time to unload, it doesn't beep, the lights don't go out, also what dry setting I need to use and how. I let the dishwasher run on normal cycle, 4 hour later clean and normal lights were still on. I left it and when I got up in the motning the same lights were on and when I opened the door dishes were still wet, damp smelling. Don't know what I'm doing wrong? Frustrated

SOURCE: No hot water, not drying (DX302WB)

hi

mine had this exact same problem - it turns out that the relay on the control board had not been soldered on properly. mine has shorted out over time, and caused a lot of charing of the localised area. i checked the relay, it was okay, so have resoldered the board and all is working for now.

i called Electrolux - 1800 001 218 - to report the problem, as i believe there are too many peoplew reporting this issue for it to be a one off. i was also concerned about a fire risk, as the charing on mine was considerable.

too be blunt, Electrolux didn't seem to care too much, unless if i wanted to pay to have someone come look at it, despite the fact that i am an electrician.

Electrolux currently say that this is the first time this problem has been reported - despite that fact they are aware of this thread. i would encourage anyone whoi has this fault to call the above number and report your problems to them, as i believe a recall may be waranted, and, should your unit have serious problems (fire) it is on record.

Electrolux currently have a recall on a couple of other dishwashers due to the fact they pose potential fire risks - see www.recalls.gov.au

SOURCE: Dishwasher 3 in 1 detergent tablet not dissolving.

I believe that the instructions for using these 3-in-1 tablets is to place it in the open dish detergent cup, rather than in the closable compartment, since the tablet needs to get doused by a lot of water in oder to fully dissolve and be effective in getting the dishes clean.

Since the tablets are designed to dissolve more slowly, they are able to be used for the entire range of washing cycles. If it's a constant problem and you don's have an open detergent cup below or next to your closed detergent dispenser, just toss it into the bottom of the dishwasher instead.

The reason that the tablet isn't getting dissolved fully is because the door is preventing the tablet from dropping all the way out and the door is shielding the tablet from quite a bit of water spray.

Another option is to take a look at your owners manual for the dishwasher and see if they recommend these all-in-one tablets versus regular powered detergent and liquid rinse aid.

Hope that helps and best regards!

SOURCE: electrolux dishwasher delays before starting

  1. To cancel the delay.press the delay pad again when the delay is counting down. The indicator light will go out and the cycle will start or resume immediately.
  2. To cancel the delay and the cycle, press Start/cancel once to drain and turn-off the dishwasher.
  3. Press Start/cancel twice to turn-off the dishwasher without draining.

SOURCE: electrolux dishwasher all lights blinking and wont

Remove the toe kick by loosening 2 screws. There is a panel there with little lights that correspond to specific problems. The light that is on will correspond to the problem that the dishwasher has detected. Correct the problem and you should be good to go. I have no idea why this is not in the instruction manual. A common one is that there us a leak that the dishwasher has detected, normally in the drain pipe.

Lights on console are off and unit won't start.

Hello Brian,

I had a similar problem with my dishwasher sometime ago. My husband tried to fix it following the owner's manual instructions but nothing happened. Tired of trying it I called a technician and they came the same day and fix it! They had to replace the keypad, I don't remember how much it was but I know that it was a fair price, around $150, much less than buying a new one!

I'll give you their contact info just in case it helps you. Good luck!

The heating cycle has changed and there is now a shorter cooler activity

the fan is probably busted. may just need to replace the fan. but if its washing the dishes fine and drying them , then you probably shouldnt worry too much about it.

Find spare and repair manual for intrepid wood stove

Alex, I don't know how old your Vermont Castings Intrepid wood stove is, but the only available Owner's Manual is for their fairly new model Intrepid II wood stove.

A little quick history. Vermont Castings was an independent company 10 years ago, that was bought up by Majestic (FMC) Fireplace Company of Canada. About 5 years ago, Majestic went belly up and the VC line was purchased by Monesson Hearth Products. There have been some improvements to their wood stoves in the past couple of years, so as to meet the new EPA Requirements. So, this manual may show some things your stove doesn't have.

Hope this helps you. Please let me know. Thanks.

Whirlpool dishwasher is not fully draining after cycle complete

THE PROBLEM SOUNDS TO BE WITH THE INSTALLATION OF THE DISHWASHER ITSELF. YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOUR DRAIN HOSE IS NOT KINKED AND ALSO THAT THE DRAIN HOSE FORMS A LOOP. IN OTHER WORDS IT SHOULD GO STRAIGHT UP BEHIND THE UNIT AND THEN DOWN INTO THE SINK OR DISPOSAL.THIS SHOULD TAKE CARE OF YOUR PROBLEM.

Dishwasher

Hi lilwing,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your question is: you have a ge dishwasher you purchased two years ago. you have misplaced your owners manual. you can only tell you it is a ge quietpower 3. you don't even know the model since you've misplaced your owners manual. it started with the timer for speed cycle set itself between 50 and 60 minutes, and you knew that wasn't right. and then yesterday it did not drain all the water out. you know there is no food particles in it because you clean them before you put them in the washer and the drain line it is hooked up to is working proberly also. can i help?

First, the model and serial numbers are in the door jam. Open the door and look right and left.
The rest sounds like a bad control board, It will require a pro. If the d/w has a few years on it you may want to consider the price of repair verses replacement.

Status Lights Blinking

status lights blinking is trying to tell you something in the dishwasher is bad,go to your owners manual to see the fault codes first, then you can try turning the breaker off 30 seconds an on to see if it resets its self,if that does not work i think you might have a bad mother board,thanks-mike

Loud periodic buzzing

Are you sure this noise is not just the ice maker trying to cycle without water? If it is not turned off it will dry cycle every 15 min or so.

Dishwasher problem

My dishwasher Indesit DI67S will not run on the number 1 cycle. It will fill and then when that programme finishes it jumps straight to the drying cycle missing all the rinses out etc. If on the number 2 programme it goes all the way through but then doesn't dry. I've also noticed that the water doesn't seem to be heating up much and certainly isn't drying. Is this the element or something else? Once its reached the drying cycle the light for this just flashes then I have a job to try and reset the machine. It can take endless attempts. Will switching the machine off at the mains solve anything or is it the element?
Thankyou
