Question about Electrolux 24 in. EDW5500DSS Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher
Remove the toe kick by loosening 2 screws. There is a panel there with little lights that correspond to specific problems. The light that is on will correspond to the problem that the dishwasher has detected. Correct the problem and you should be good to go. I have no idea why this is not in the instruction manual. A common one is that there us a leak that the dishwasher has detected, normally in the drain pipe.

I had the same problem and followed rstecher and his solution. Removed the kick, light flashing was saying a leak was detected. Tipped the DW on it's side, have plenty of towels ready because the pan will be filled with water. Make sure power is off. Removed the pan and every single one of the clamps was loose. Tightened all the clamps at least 4 complete turns. Dried everything so the sensor wouldn't pick up any water. Put the pan back on and it worked perfectly! Thanks rstecher!

I just tried the "tip and drip" solution suggested above and it worked. Thanks to all!

I own a electrolux dishwasher mod no igot a service man out because wheni pressed the start button the lights would come on but when i took my finger off the button the lights would go out again the service man said it was a problem with the programe panel and did'nt recomend spending money on it too costly and too old. try this press the button down and tap something down along side the button to hold it down i used a panel pin now bend the pin across the button and put tape over it to avoid cutting your finger if the lights now stay on select your programe and close the door if it works then it was only the start button that was at fault when the wash ends turn the machine off at the socket untill you need it again next time turn machine on at the socket and repeat what have you to loose good luck jim maguire kells co meath

Hello friend, thank you for your post!
From the information you have provided regarding the heated dry and washing lights blinking on your Electrolux dishwasher it sounds like it could be a possible problem within your control board. I would recommend resetting your appliance which you can by flipping the household circuit breaker in the off position for roughly ten minutes. If you continue to receive the blinking lights I would reach out to a professional to come and diagnose your appliance. I hope this helps. -Matt
