re filled inks have being installed that's why u get u163 or u162 error
try following to resolve yours error u163 or u162

1. Turn off your printer and turn it on again.
2. After the printer initializes, try to copy or print something. The error will appear again.
3. When the error is displayed on the display panel of the printer, press and hold the STOP/RESET button and wait until it self restarts.
4. Release the STOP/RESET button while the printer is restarting.
5. Wait for a few seconds and the pending print jobs will commence.

My E600 check ink u163, press STOP button 5s then press black/color button

Error U163 means, the printer detected that your black ink cartridge has been refilled with new ink.
It is very easy to clear this error and keep your printer printing.

How?
1. Turn on your printer.
2. When error U163 appears, press and hold the STOP/RESET buton on the printer. Hold it down until the printer self restart and initialize.
3. if after U163 is cleared off and appear another error, U162, press and hold again the STOP/RESET button and wait till printer self restart and initialize again.

Reset the printer ink level detection.

Press and hold down STOP/RESET button and wait for the printer to restart.
Release button when printer completely initialize (This will clear the U163 error)

Either the new ink is a generic cartridge and not reset properly, or one of the other inks is empty. Your display should tell you which ink is empty. U163 just says that one of the inks is empty.

Firstly I suspect you are not using genuine cartridge or you have refilled the cartridge.
To fix this you need to disable the ink checking procedure.
