Click on the printer icon next to the time
& then cancel print

Testimonial: "I think I've tried that without success in clearing out the printer's buffer. Is there a solution at all for this? I say this because I could find nothing helpful on the Canon website."

How do I clear the printer memory on HL-2040 - delete a job that has been sent and processed?

Unplug your printer. Wait 5 minutes. That should clear any memory in the printer.

Printer shows out of memory

This usually means that a print job was sent to the printer that won't fit in the memory. Cancel the print job and try again. You might want to upgrade the printer memory capacity.
Also make sure you have the latest printer driver in Windows.

How to cancel the previous print?

I'm glad to provide the instructions to cancel the print.
Double click the printer icon in the system tray (by the clock). That should open a printing status window. Highlight the job you want to cancel and click on cancel. it will show "deleting". Once the job is deleted, the printer may continue to print what is in its internal memory, but once that is gone, the printer will stop and eject the page.

If your computer has sent the file to the printer memory already you have to turn off the printer.
Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if you require any clarifications.

It keeps saying memory low, what should i do

If you already sent a job to print, wait until is finished. These printers have internal memory, like the pc RAM, and if is not big enough you get this message. You can upgrade this memory to a higher capacity. If you haven't sent anything to print, check the printing queue, sometimes it has paused/stopped printing jobs that use up the internal memory.

How do I cancel a print job sent to the Ricoh Aficio 2018D? It is no longer in my print queue, but printer is still printing all 480 pages

You may have to go to the printer and click on Status or printer jobs and cancel the job from the printer. It appears the printer has the whole job already spooled in memory

Zebra printer 140xilll - Too many print jobs?

It does sound like you have a memory overload when you send the 2nd print job. Each label is getting sent to the printer and filling up the memory. Make sure you are using the printer resident fonts and not a regular windows font. The windows fonts get sent down as graphics and take up memory. What zebra is saying to do is store the format of the label in the printer memory and then just send down the information that changes. For example if you were printing a UPS label the basic format of the label is the same but things such as the addresses and tracking # would change.

Unable to cancel print queue

You can cancel a print job from within Windows by going to Control Panel -> Printers and double-clicking on the appropriate printer. Right-click the print job you want to cancel and select Cancel from the context menu. Anything already sent to the printer will continue to print.

You can also cancel a print job from the printer by pressing Cancel on the control panel. This applies to whatever is currently printing.
(You may want to remove any paper from the paper tray first.)

Clicking the cancel print icon stops the job from continuing to spool, but whatever is still in the printer's memory will continue to print until exhaused or the job is cancelled from the printer's control panel.
