Check or replace the run capacitor for the compressor.
If that is good, or replacing it does not help, try what we in the industry call a "Hard Start Kit".
No matter if that works or fails, (The hard start kit), call the warranty center or where you purchased the unit.
I do not know anything about this but from a manual I have seen its tied in with Timer and Sleep functions there are a lot of instruction manuals ou on the web but you description is to generic you need a model number of which there are a lot.
