I do not know anything about this but from a manual I have seen its tied in with Timer and Sleep functions there are a lot of instruction manuals ou on the web but you description is to generic you need a model number of which there are a lot.

There appears to be 5 different versions of the HSU-07 Let me know which one matches yours and I will try and find a source.

HSU stands for humidity sensing unit.
