Hitachi 55VS69A LCD TV, blue cloud/haze?

I have a Hitachi Ultravision. 55VS69A. It has worked wonders but now there is a blue screen in the center of the tv. Should I just replace the bulb. thank you.

It is light engine that is going bad and causing blue haze/ clouds etc.
It is an expensive part, and I would recommend a new TV instead of its repair.

you most likely have a bad light engine.

The Light Engine is causing this.

This one is easy. WHen this happened to me, I simply called GE extended warranty service up and bought an extended warranty. I waited 30 days and called them up with my problem. A repair man showed up a few days later with the 1200 dollar light engine and installed it and left. Then I called GE up and cancelled the warranty. Total cost?: 48 bucks

how to fix my problem Blue haze/cloud in center of screen, slowly spreading .but last time my lamp broken I order by my self and fixed now I have the blue color in my screen please let me know what is the problem may be I need to replaced same parts please let me know how to fix thank you

My lamp model is lp700 where can I order that part

id guess your set is like a 50v500 or 50v720 its a lcd rear projection
the blue cloud come from a warped lcd plate in the optic engine and would require replacment to correct this problem
if you have a extended warranty you would want to contact them
if not you might contact hitachi consumer affairs and ask them if there would be any assistance with this repair

I have the same problem with blue haze that just spread out on model 55VS69A ,
tv is almost 2 years old. i called hitachi and they advised to call a local repair center to check the tv...they confirmed Optical Block (light engine ) replacement light engine cost $1400 and labour $400, so i called back hitachi and they said they will provide light engine and will have to pay labour!....this is not right paying out of pocket for a tv less than 2 years old....I am not sure if the issue will resurface again...more likely ....Hitachi is supposed to issue a recall or atleast like sony did to cover all cost for there defective TV's....I will NEVER buy hitach again.
