I have this same model, Hitachi LCD Rear Projection, 55VS69A. The lamp model number is LP600. But to be sure, take a look at the rear of the television. Toward the lower left corner there is a access panel for the lamp. Printed on the panel door should be the lamp model number that you need. Good luck!

Hitachi 55vs69A TV TEMP and LAMP red lights blinking. Can I solve this problem myself or do I need a TV repairman?
If you replace the lamp and reset the lamp timer then that will do it.
For resetting of the timer, see instructions within the lamp box.

hey there it sounds like the problem is coming from your ballast board, the ballast board is the power source to the lamp. with time this part starts to wear out and get weak your old lamp is already burning out there for it does not need that much voltage to turn on but the new lamp has not been worn out or used there for it needs the ballast to be working at 100%

How do I know which replacement lamp light to get for my hitachi ultravision 50 in tv. We can't find the manual. Is there any other way to be sure we get the right one?
If you are able to remove the lamp that needs replacing you will be able to take it to Hitachi's authorised repair agent and they can order one for you. But in saying that the Hitachi authorised repair agent will know what lamp to replace it with. I hope this helps.

I need both panels of the screen for a Hitachi 55VS69A. I don't really want to pay that much if possible.
You can find a new OEM Hitachi replacement lenticular screen and Fresnal screen (availble together as the screen assembly) for a model # 55VS69A from a major Hitachi distributor at the following links:

NEED TO CHECK the convergence ICs "stk _ _ _" , also check for some burnt spot (dry solder) around the power supply,
