Hi spazmodius, thank you for your post! This particular model has a thermistor to relay the temperature inside the unit to the Main Control Board. The thermistor is located behind the evaporator panel, to the right of the evaporator. I hope this information helps to some degree. If there is anything else that I can help you with, please feel free to reconnect!

Electrolux door alarm Won't stop. We open door to turn off alarm. Temp seems right but slight condensation at the very top of the fridge. Need to at least disable alarm until I can get a repair.

Check the back wall of the freezer, I would suspect the beginnings of or a full-on defrost failure... If there is frost on the back wall of the freezer it means the evaporator is blocked, disallowing airflow to the fridge compartment... Electrolux Refrigerator Defrost Thermostat 216731001 . If there is no blockage, but temps are still not cold enough, your Frigidaire may be leaking refrigerant...

Electrolux freezer will not turn on automatically when termperature warms in compartment, controls don't appear to turn compressor on, any help would be appreciated?

Sounds like your thermostat is bad. You probably have to replace it and the sending unit also. Big job! Look for a manual at : http://www.servicemanuals.net

Ice forming on "ceiling" of freezer, on hinge side.

Yes it is and its typically quite easy to do.

First you will need to determine what type of gasket is in the unit. Typically its just a push in style gasket that is held in place by a dart style backing that holds it into place.

A tip to use is to soak the new gasket in screaming hot water for about 5 minutes before installation. The install it right away. The hot water will make the gasket easier to handle and it will slide into place easily. The just leave the door closed for about an hour to allow the new gasket to form up and hold into place.

Good luck
