Ice forming on "ceiling" of freezer, on hinge side.
Yes it is and its typically quite easy to do.
First you will need to determine what type of gasket is in the unit. Typically its just a push in style gasket that is held in place by a dart style backing that holds it into place.
A tip to use is to soak the new gasket in screaming hot water for about 5 minutes before installation. The install it right away. The hot water will make the gasket easier to handle and it will slide into place easily. The just leave the door closed for about an hour to allow the new gasket to form up and hold into place.
Good luck

Electrolux FFU14F5HWB has intermittent defrost issues
Thank you for your post friend.
I understand that you are having intermittent defrost issues with your Frigidaire refrigerator. Are you experiencing an accumulation of ice buildup, are you losing food? Defrost issues can be caused by a variety of things such as a defective defrost heater, thermostat or defective door gasket. I recommend that you visually inspect the door gasket for defects such as gaps or tears. You can also use a dollar bill to test the door gasket. Place a dollar bill in between the door and the body of the freezer. If the dollar bill pulls out with no to little resistance, you may need to replace the door gasket. A faulty door gasket can allow warm air to enter the compartment and cause frost to buildup.
If there is a miscommunication within your freezer, a reset can possibly correct this issue. I recommend that you reset your refrigerator by unplugging it for 10 minutes. I hope this information has been helpful. -NS

How to set temperature on built-in freezer that is not part of a fridge
Well start by defrosting it.
Empty out the contents and put the contents in a cooler and then switch it off. You may need to switch it off at the electrical control panel by flipping the circuit breaker.
Once you have turned it off, use hot water to help remove the ice. Have plenty of old towels around for this as water will get spilled on the floor. Once it is empty and the ice removed you may discover a temperature control switch, but if not, just be prepared to repeat the exercise every 6 months or so. In any case it is not a good idea to run the freezer when it is iced up. Once it is emptied and cleared out switch it back on and wait 10 minutes before adding your stuff back. Sometimes freezers will heat up a bit before they cool down. Once you verify its getting cold, put your food back in it. Good luck.....RD

Re lights lit on freezer
Red light lit on freezer means that is not reaches operating temperature.
Most often the old freezer has three indicator lights.
- Green light : that it is brought to a power source and turned on - Red light : means that the temperature is above -18 degrees
- orange light : pressing the so-called SUPER-switch which means that the compressor is running continuously. The SUPER-button switch on a few hours before you begin deep-freeze foods. Freezing time depending on foods quantity (kg). With old freezer must be careful to turn off the switch S (orange light) when the red light goes out or when foods are frozen, otherwise after a few days may burn out the compressor. You should be following the instructions from user manual.
In new freezer managed by the electronics, this function has a predetermined maximum duration, in order to protect the compressor, and can have different marketing names like "shopping".....
