Error code 1203

My printer Lexmark P315 is giving me an error message error1203 see user guide

    thank you for your help it was a cartridge problem when I x
    changed the cartridge it sorted the problem for me once again thank you. P.S. I have already sent an email yesterday.

To determine whether this error is due to a cartridge failure or a hardware problem with the printer, do the following: Make sure the printer is powered on. Open the printer's top cover. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position. Press down on the cartridge lever to raise the cartridge lid. Remove the cartridges. With the cartridges out of the printer, close the top cover. Power the printer OFF and then back ON. Check the operator panel to see if the 1203 error has returned or if a new message is displayed. If the message displayed is 1203, there is something wrong with the printer hardware. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support. If the message is Cartridge Missing, reinstall the cartridges into the printer. Insert the black cartridge in the left carrier. Insert the color cartridge in the right carrier. Snap the lids closed. Close the top cover. Check the operator panel. If the 1203 message is still present, you need to insert one cartridge at a time to determine which cartridge is producing the failure. With one cartridge in the carrier, close the top cover and check the operator panel. If the 1203 message is displayed, that cartridge is producing the error. If Cartridge Missing is displayed, the second cartridge is the defective item. Please replace the defective cartridge.

I just left the colored cartridge out as it was the one causing the problem.

Printer will not recognise camera memory card hp p315 photo printer


Was your Lexmark P315 printer able to detect this particular memory card before? Try to re-insert the card - it could be due to a slight communication problem. Have you tried inserting a different known working compatible memory card into the printer's card slot? This could be due to faulty memory card.

I get the error message: error1203 when I start my printer what can I do to solve this problem?


This is an ink cartridge problem. Go to the following site and see if it helps. I don't know which printer you have so you'll have to look at the site and pick out your model. P315 print cartrige error


What we surmised is that the little wire contacts on the print cartridge were bad. One suggestion was to use a pencil eraser over the area where the small wire dots are on the cartridge, then wipe clean with a lint free cloth. That didn't work either so I exchanged the cartridge and the problem went away.

i have a lexmark p4350 and just recently got a eror message 1102, says consult user guide, cannot find that error message in the guide, what is it, thanks
