Your black nozzle is partially clogged. If the cleaning cycle does not work then you will need to take/send to an authorized epson repair center as this is not an owner serviceable part. Hope this helps.

I've been having problems with my Epson 7600 large format printer, I recently took it all apart to unblock the light black tube. I reassembled the printer and everything is back to normal apart from I now...

The most common cause of horizontal banding is generally missing, deflected or clogged nozzles. To see if this is the cause you should first print a nozzle check and examine the printout with a 10x or better eye loupe for any missing or deflected nozzles. If nozzles are missing or deflected you will need to perform cleaning cycles to recover these nozzles. Once all missing nozzles are recovered try printing your document again.
If no nozzles are missing or deflected, check that you are using the correct driver settings for the type of media you're printing on. Also try printing at a higher resolution and turning high-speed (bi-directional) printing off.

The most common cause of vertical banding is over-saturation of the media, usually created by paper "rippling". To correct this effect, decrease the saturation and lower the paper suction. If vertical banding is still apparent print the image with high speed off (uni-directional). If this corrects the issue, align the print head, as described on page 5-6 of the Users Guide.

I had purchased an epson stylus printer cx5500 .

Ensure the nozzle check has 4 colours if it doesn't you will need to try head cleaning. you may also need to align the print head. All this can be found in the same place as the option for nozzle check.

If that is ok try a different paper type, ensure you are using relativly fresh ink

Horzontal white lines cut through print and picture copies. When doing head allignment the horozontal bars all have a white gap, 1 through 7. Epson Stylus CX5400

You don't need to do head alignment, because it is for vertical banding in printout. Vertical banding can be minimized by disabling high speed option without doing head alignment. If your printout have horizontal white lines, do check nozzle and head cleaning, or you can minimize white lines by printing in best quality (photo).

Stylus printing striped alternating shades of yellow and green of image

Possible printhead issue.
Please reseat the black cartridge. Let the printer charge like it normally does.
Print a nozzle check pattern. If you see gaps, missing lines or missing colors on the pattern, clean the printhead using the driver. 3 consecutive cleaning cycle is recommended. Compare the nozzle pattern over the last printout. If you see any improvement, you can clean the head numerous times until you get a perfect nozzle check pattern.

Epson Stylus Photo R800 Print Head Nozzles ??

Don't use nozzles clean function, besides ink consuming it can cause damages that cannot be fixed: black lines on the back side of the page that will be permanent. Instead put two photo paper together (2x260 gr) and push the two papers together into the printer while printing a motive including many colors. Do so a couple of times and the clogg usually disappears. Good luck! jonk
