Is the door opening ? if so make sure you are not putting things in front of it to prevent it from opening completly. If not you may have a dispenser or control issue. also are all the dishes getting wet? if not you would have a sump motor issue or you are not getting any water at all.

SOURCE: The soap does not fully 'dissolve' after running the unit

I believe this is just a matter of dish placement, and not a matter of anything physically wrong with your unit. The way the unit works is when the "computer" tells to open the door, it releases the latch. That is all it is responsible for doing. After that gravity and the splash of the water jets must take over. So simply just make a visual path where you know water jets can hit that area and you should be alright. IF the powered soap is already caked in the dispenser you will have to manually scrape it out with a wood or plastic stick.

SOURCE: my soap dispenser will not open during the wash

Hi,
There is a quick test to verify there is a problem, this test will take about 2 mins. Open the door, close the dispenser (latched), on the control panel itself, push in this order hi temp wash (HTW) than sani *3 times in that order*. So that means HTW-Sani, HTW-Sani, HTW-Sani. What this will do is run a control service mode, all the LED's will light up, close the door and wait until it stops, within about 45 seconds you should hear the dispenser open. If it opens it is functioning normally, if not, it should be replaced.
I hope this helps

SOURCE: Soap dispenser door is not opening

Hi tking01 The soap dispenser draw is operated by an electrical solenoid. It sounds like your solenoid has failed and needs replacing. This unit is located within the door itself. Regards

Bosch dishwasher soap dispenser wont open or drain.

If your Bosch dishwasher's soap dispenser is not opening or draining properly, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can take:
  1. Clean the Dispenser Area: Start by inspecting the soap dispenser area for any debris, soap residue, or obstructions. Clean the dispenser thoroughly using a damp cloth and remove any buildup that may be preventing it from opening or closing properly.
  2. Check for Mechanical Issues: Examine the dispenser latch and mechanism for any signs of damage or wear. Ensure that the latch is engaging properly and that there are no loose or broken parts. If any components are damaged, they may need to be replaced.
  3. Test the Dispenser Solenoid: The soap dispenser may be controlled by a solenoid that releases it at the appropriate time during the wash cycle. Check if the solenoid is functioning correctly by performing a continuity test using a multimeter. If the solenoid is defective, it may need to be replaced.
  4. Verify Proper Detergent Usage: Ensure that you are using the correct type and amount of dishwasher detergent recommended for your Bosch dishwasher. Using the wrong detergent or excessive amounts can cause issues with dispenser operation. Consult your dishwasher's user manual for specific detergent recommendations.
  5. Check the Drainage System: A clogged drainage system can prevent the soap dispenser from draining properly. Inspect the drain hose, drain pump, and any filters for blockages. Clear any debris or obstructions you find, and ensure that the drain hose is not kinked or bent.
  6. Reset the Dishwasher: Try resetting your Bosch dishwasher by turning it off at the power source or unplugging it for a few minutes. This can sometimes resolve temporary issues and restore proper operation.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to consult the Bosch dishwasher's user manual for model-specific troubleshooting steps or contact Bosch customer support for further assistance. They can provide you with specific guidance tailored to your dishwasher model and help you diagnose and resolve the problem.

Dispenser door will not open

Hey friend, thank you for the post!

I understand that your soap dispenser door will not open on your Frigidaire dishwasher, LGBD2432LW0A. You could possibly be seeing an issue with soap dispenser not getting water into it to release the soap from dispensing. I would check to make sure there are no dishes blocking or obstructing the soap dispenser. You could also remove the soap dispenser to clean it and make sure there is no buildup of any previous detergent remaining that would cause the door to not open. If those steps do not solve the issue it could be a problem with the dispenser and I would recommend having a tech come out to the home to properly diagnose and repair the dishwasher. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

GE Harmony top load washer: The soap tray when filled with liquid soap will not properly dispense the soap when the water is filling the machine and the soap tray remains full of water and soap at the end...

Hi
Dishwashers use Bi-Metal strip to allow the dispenser to open/close. This strip when heat up causes the soap door spring to open up the dispenser. If this strip is not heated doesn't allow the door to open. The strip may not be getting 120V or maybe disconnected. Newer (plastic liner) dishwashers use a wax motor to open the soap dispenser. The plunger inside the wax motor slowly moves and pushes the plunger and door open. And, if this wax motor doesn't receive 120 volts, then it'll not work. Please check the voltage to the wax motor/Bi-metal strip; also inspect the connections to these. Hope this helps...

Dishwasher soap remains in the soap dispenser following the complete cycle. I have had the washer for a year and a half. The first year, no soap remained in the dispenser. Now about 1/8th of the soap...

Try cleaning the soap dispenser with white vinegar so that it is free of all detergent, then try using about 1/4 less detergent than you have been to see if you still have any remaining in the dispenser. Also, make sure your drain filter is free of all sediment so that the system can pump the water out freely. Lastly, if you are still getting some soap remains, then try using a sanitary setting that uses the hottest water and see if the excess soap is properly dispensed. Your water temp may not be getting hot enough so this test should help identofy the solution. Hope this helps !

Soap Dispenser Problem with Kenmore Elite Dishwasher

its possible to have a faulty dispenser, but i would look for other reasons first. Im a big powder user and proponent. powder just breaks down better in hot water.Have found that by using the tabs(whoch im sure the gel packs could give same issue) that they dont really fitting the dispenser as well they're a little tight to close the door and the spring action of the dispenser is sometimes not enough with te extra pressure from the tablets.also ck to make sure youre loading it correctly and nothing is blocking the water form spraying into the cup fully emptying it

Dishsoap stays in soap dispenser

ok, either a spring, trigger prob, on the latch, or a electronic prob. ok so to see if the latch is ok (or not) look closely for soap residue and scum, that may be hindering the latch or spring under. use metho, and warm water to clean this part. secondly go down to a white goods repair place and take your electrical component, button, lights its all one unit, simple unscrew it, i do think you will need a set of torque screws for that tho... anyhow ask the guy to get you a new or second hand one and install it. the timer will run, and the clip will release. good luck!
