This happens if you have an NVIDIA NView setup. You might need to add wfxmod32 , wfxctl32 to your NVIDIA application settings to disable all NView functionality for these programs.

WinFax Tools has many fixes for WinFax that are automated.

How to maximize my computer screen and keep it that way

Maximum is for a window. For example when you open a program or a internet browser, then in the upper right hand corner just to the left of the X will be the minimize or maximize toggle that you click.

If you are talking about your screen resolution which makes icons bigger or smaller then that is in the Display in the Control Panel. Click Start/Control Panel or Start/Settings/Control Panel and look for Display or Appearance and Personalization. Open it and adjust the screen resolution. The higher the resolution, the smaller the icons.

How do i make the screen smaller

Make the resolution higher under the Display. Right Click on any open area on your desktop and select Properties. When the Display Properties window opens select the Settings tab. Change the resolution. The higher the resolution, the smaller the icons and the more things will appear on the screen.

You can also get to the display by clicking Start/Control Panel and look for Display or Appearance and Personalization. When the Display Properties window opens select the Settings tab. Change the resolution. The higher the resolution, the smaller the icons and the more things will appear on the screen.

Desktop

I think you need to click right on desktop ...and select ..view..and click the show desktop icons ..try it ..and let me know if this solve the issue ..
Good luck !
In case you reinstalled it clean ..and this is the first time ..or you erased teh icons somehow..you just need to make new shortcuts ..
For the system icons..just click right on the desktop ..and select properties...and under desktop ..select desktop icons ..or change desktop icons..it is a link on the bottom ...of the window..selecting it will open a window where you can select the icons..and click apply ..
For windows 7 ...click right on desktop ..select personalize ..and in the left of the window select change desktop icons..and same thing ...tick the cases..and the main icons will be displayed..apply and OK ..
for the rest ..you need to make shortcuts ..from the start menu ..all programs ..one by one ...by clicking right on the program execution ..and select send to desktop ..
lets hope that this will not be needed..and it is a simple action like I explained in the first lines...

My vision is very poor & i cant the text, how do i enlarge it?

Hello fhight2,
I've read your "Post."
I will try to assist you in solving the problem.
"First you want to 'change' the visual effects of the "Display."
  1. Right click on a "empty area" of the "Desktop Screen. paul7of9_111.jpg
  2. Once the 'window opens,' select the Personalize [shortcut].
  3. Next, click on the "Display Settings" button. paul7of9_112.jpg
  4. Adjust the, (low>high) Resolution Scale. paul7of9_113.jpg
  5. Lower the "Scale," by {Decreasing the Resolution}.
!Attention: "You can do this "several times, until you are 'satified' with the results!"

*Note: Always click on the 'Apply', and 'OK' buttons, after changes been made, to take effect!.

Important! "To 'change the 'size' of the "Icons on the Desktop!"
  • Right click on a 'empty area of the Desktop Screen."
  • Once the 'window open!
  • Point to the [View] arrow -> and "choose Medium 'or' Large Icons."
If this information helped? Return and give a "Helpful Rating," please!

How do I adjust my monitor? My home page does not

I'm not sure what operating system you're using nor what you mean by your "home page". If you mean your browser window doesn't fill the whole Windows desktop, what happens when you maximize the window?

If your desktop looks huge with tiny icons (and tiny-looking windows, if you have any open and not maximized) all clustered in the middle of the screen, your display resolution may be set higher than you're accustomed to. In most versions of Windows you can go to Control Panel | Display, see what your current resolution is, and try adjusting it. The higher the numbers, the "bigger" the desktop area (and the smaller the icons and everything else). If you adjust the resolution higher than your monitor can handle, you may lose your display and have to restart the computer in something like Safe mode to get to Control Panel and readjust it. If you adjust the resolution lower (or run in Safe Mode) your icons may not fit on the smaller desktop and may get scrambled. In that case, first straighten out the display resolution, then move your icons back where you want them.
