There is no reset or fuse to reset. You may need to get replacement power supply. If the computer is plugged into a power strip or surge protector you can bypass it and plug the system directly into a wall outlet and power up.
Power Supply Light-on the back of the computer.
The light is a Green Light by the power supply.
Power Supply light is lit by a signal in the power supply called Power_Good (PG).
If the Power Supply Light Led is not light up, the power supply is defective.

Actually horizontal lines base on my own experience will cause of bad/faulty T-con board and the low screen light (back-light) cause of bad inverter board or weak cold cathode light when the 2 parts are both indicate faulty (inverter and T-con) the possible problems is on the power supply board..Because its very rare to LCD having 2 or more boards fault..

If that is the case..You need to check the power supply board (it is usually connected directly to the power cord)..Power supply is very hard working parts of all LCD TV so that this board is a commonly problem of all flat panel TV..This board is the one that responsible to supply DC voltage such as 5vdc,12vdc,24vdc to all the boards to function it properly..If the power supply board having voltage drop on there output all parts are not properly works until time comes that the TV will not turn at all..

Try to inspect the power supply first..Look at the power supply board (usually connected next directly to power cord).
Try this numerical steps.

1. Open the back cover.
2. Locate the power supply board.(usually connected next directly to power cord).
3. Inspect the power supply board for any bulged/dome capacitors.
   

4. If you found any bulged capacitors like the picture above kindly replace it with the same value (example:1000uf/35v means 1000microfarad/35volts)..
5. When you replacing the capacitors make it sure that you memorized the exact position of it because capacitors having polarity.Wrong polarity can cause more damaged.To make it sure please take a picture of it to avoid mistakes..
6. After replacing bad caps if any..Try to power it on again..

I have included a link directly to the upgrade and service manual for your PC. The directions for removing and replacing the power supply are not included. However, there are directions for removing the cover and identifying several parts.

I have replace many power supplies and it does take some attention to detail. I would suggest that you either diagram or put markers on all the cords you unplug from the origian power supply. Generally, the power supply is easy to find and is secured with screws that can be seen on the outside of the case. The power supply will plug into the system board, sometimes in two different places. The power supply also plugs into the hard drive, CD drive, floppy drive (if you have one).
You must be certain that you obtain the correct power supply that is the same as the old one you are replacing.

If you are observant, document carefully and go slow, you should be successful in replacing your power supply.

Just make sure that the MAX OUTPUT that should be on a sticker with all the other information directly on your power supply is the minimum output that you require on your new purchase of an ATX power supply. Your options for replacement don't really rely on the brand of power supply, it's determined more by what your power consumption is - so a good rule is to at least get one as powerful as the one you're replacing. Also make sure that the new power supply has the appropriate power connections and the amount that you need, but the outlet in which you purchase your power supply will be more than happy to give you information about all the power supplies that they have for sale.

You're right about the power supply issue, when they become faulty they are unable to supply the proper power to the projector, and thus it randomly shuts off. Also, you are able to just replace the power supply unit, I would suggest looking on ebay or contact Benq directly for a proper replacement part.

i ws hvin the same problem with the same config and atx 500wtts after replacing smps for nearly 4 times even new i used to face same problem later they tell me that i should should replace my faulty motherboard which was causin me the problem
