Pressing spacebar once will make cursor skip 3-5 spaces

Hard resetting the device would help you to resolve this issue.1.Power off the phone.2.Press and hold Vol+ key and Power key simultaneously until several blue sentences appear on the screen which are reboot system now; apply update from sdcard; wipe data/factory reset; wipe cache partition3.Use Vol+ key and Vol- key to move the cursor to "wipe data/factory reset" and press camera key to confirm it.4.There are many words "No" and one sentence "Yes -- delete all user data". Use Vol+ key and Vol- key to move the cursor to "Yes -- delete all user data". Press camera key to confim it.5.The phone will finish the reseting by itselft after about 10 seconds later and then the cursor will be on "reboot system now" and press camera key to confirm it. The phone will reboot automatically.There is no unlock and password any more after the phone is on.

Try to reset your phone once to fix the issue by following steps:-

Inspect the spacebar paralell guide wire. When depressing the spacebar on the right or left side extreme the spacebar other side should travel down at the same time. If not the spacebar will not actuate the electronic keyswitch under the spacebar. Most likely, the keyswitch is defective and requires replacement.

did you tried to clean the inside of the keyboard coz sometimes the dust is the cause why some characters not working properly.

Could be something wrong with the spacebar on your keyboard. Try another keyboard and see what happens.

i had that problem once
right under the space bar on some dells
there is a ribbon cable that plugs the mousepad into the motherboard
its just a small clip must be checked

When you press the spacebar twice at the end of a word, your blackberry thinks you ar finishing a sentence. Also, we you hold a key down too long it will capitalize.

did you check to make sure that the springs and bar under the spacebar are seated correclty?

Heeheehee do I feel stupid I just checked the printer for the upteenth time and finally found the problem.
I had a piece of paper (sticky price tag paper ) on the ink track so that was what was causing my problem. It was covered in ink LOL.

You should open the key board.and clean space key and change rubber cap.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back as requested, how things turned up or should you need additional information.
