That is the boot up screen for the android. You can change the back ground in the settings menu under personalize I believe it is.

How are you hooking it up? If you are using a USB cord from the phone to the car, most cars cant see the phone as a music device you have to set the phone as a usb storage device and even doing that wont guarantee that the stereo can find the music.

Reboot. Remove battery and wait for 5 seconds. Put it back on. Enter 'Recovery Mode'. There will be some hardware button combination to enter Recovery Mode like Power+Volume Up+Volume Down. After entering, depending on your phone, you might have to navigate through physical buttons. You will find 'Clear Cache' and 'Clear Dalvik Cache'. Do both. And then Reboot normally. Now see if you can get the launcher working on your phone. If that doesn't work, press home key, see if you can open some browser application or Play Store and download and install a new Launcher. If that doesn't work, but you can somehow access settings, go to settings->Apps and clear data of your Launcher App. If that isn't possible then, go to Recover Mode again and do 'Reset Factory Defaults'. This should make your phone feel just like when you brought it.

If your phone is pattern locked then either it will ask for Gmail account details if you have registered one or you can just enter *983*987# in the Emergency Dial which unlock your phone and also your phone will be resetted and all the datas will be erased. If your phone is locked with some PUK code then contact your service provider to unlock the phone.

It sounds like the charging port is warn out. If you have a warranty on take to the store. If not, well to my knowledge there is no way of replacing it. Best. there a warranty. Worst. You need a New phone.
