Heating and hot worker work separately but not together

When hot water comes on first and heating second there is no power on the CH connection. When CH is on first and Hot water second there is power on HW Off, HW On and CH. This stops the Y plan 3 way valve from going to position AB

If this a honeywell valve you may need to change the motor in side the valve , sounds like its lost some of it power to move the inside of the valve to y postion .

Need to separate heating and hot water - just have hot water on

You need a heating engineer to come in and do this.

With power off, hold Ch UP and Ch Down together for 10 seconds.
While still holding Ch up and down together, push power, then let go.
Select OSD button, there should be a letter "F" in the lower right hand corner of the menu.
Then hold OSD and Mute/Exit buttons together until factory menu comes up. Make adjustments with remote, select exit, then turn off power to save the adjustments.

Hi I hope you can help I had a plumber come around and move my hot water cylinder in to my loft and now I can only get hw if I have ch & hw on together if I put hw on by itself my boiler over he

There should be a gate valve on the pipe from the central heating to the cylinder, it looks like a tap and is normally beside the cylinder. This is used to regulate the flow of hot water in the heating system through the pipe coil in the cylinder. If this is open too much it will let the central heating pump most of the water through cylinder and won\'t heat the rads properly, if its closed too much it will do the opposite. Ss I said it looks like a tap, so turn it fully clockwise, and then turn it anti clockwise about half a turn. See how this works and adjust it further to compensate. Hope this helps. Some plumbers forget to fit these but its easy to fit one, just cut the pipe carrying the heating through the cylinder and fit a stop cock (TAP)

Siemens rwb29 controller doesn't work properly. central heating comes up only when you select hot water, but not on its own

This happens to my rwb29 from time to time. You can try switching off the power to the controller for a couple of minutes with CH thermostat and CH programs set off. Or you can press the little reset button to the bottom right of the LCD screen. After 1 or 2 attempts these steps usually restore the independent control on my unit.

Alpha 240e boiler wont fire up for hot water, will for heating

most likely the diverter valve.. when hot tap turned on the movement of the water through the valve operates a diaphragm which pushes a pin/button//switch to tell the boiler to fire up
