Need remote control code for Scientific Atlanta 3250 explorer
We just purchased a new all in one remote control. Sharper Image Brand. We want to use the new all in one remote to control the channels for the cable box which is a Scientific Altlanta Explorer 3250. The remote codes in the back of the instruction book do not work. Can anyone help?

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. In your browser search window - type in "comcast remote control manuals." You will get a listing of remote control icons & manuals. There is an icon for scientific Atlanta remote control & manual.
Any codes if any are available from the mfg of the remote. If nothing , and you have both remotes and one is programmable, you can do it. Just follow the directions for the programmable unit .
1. Press and hold SELECT and CBL until all mode keys blink twice.
2. Press 9 7 7. All mode keys blink three times. Then, after a few seconds the CBL key
blinks twice.
This put's the remote back to default. If you need more help let me know.
