Many digital cameras made for still photography have the ability to record video clips, but most of them don't record sound. They don't even have a microphone. I don't know about this camera specifically, but it would be entirely normal if it didn't have sound capability.

The ViviCam 8018 does not record any sound. You can add a soundtrack using video-editing software on a computer but you cannot record one on the camera.
