Can be part of the power supply or the controller board. Best to take the unit in for service. You would need the spare parts to try, the service manual, and the proper voltever to make the necessary verifications.
There are large transformers that supply the high voltage needed for the microwave to work. They are normally what goes when they stop working. You need a high voltage meter to check them. A tech. that is equipped for microwave oven repair may be your best bet.
Yes it is repairable! there are three parts that will cause this, the magnetron "common problem" or the the high voltage capacitor or diode. Depending on the part failure will determine the cost, if the magnetron has gone that will approach the price of a new microwave oven.
there are fuses in your microwave but they dont normaly blow unless there is another fault,
the fuses are not the normal house size fuses and are quick and slow blow types plus a high voltage fuse,
this normaly just happens it just stops heating its most likley to be the magnatron thats the part that heats the food up,,,it just gives up the gost,,,normaly without warning too, there are fuses inside this unit but there not normal sizes and not normal voltages,,,also inside your microwave is a big capasitor it holds 000,and 000s of volts if you do go inside it and tuch this cap, it could or would most likley kill you!
is it worth being killed for a fuse thats not blowen? far cheaper to just buy a new unit,,,,and live to show it off!!!
This was my first microwave oven repair, and I feared the worst - big $$$'s, parts no longer available, etc. But after I pulled the unit forward and found the schematic diagram, it turned out to be a defective microswitch in the secondary door latch circuit.
Even in retirement, my degrees in electronics and computer science occasionally save me some $$$'s.
i just want to know how to test if it working or not,
