I have the SAME PROBLEM . . . My Quiet Partner III gets stuck on Normal Cycle with 63 minutes remaining and just continues washing and washing and washing.  What is the issue?

  • peggles68 Jul 08, 2008

My machine GU2455GTSQ0 does the same thing. When you put it on the normal or light cycle with the heated dry the machine will continuously run until you turn it off manually. On the regular cycle mine gets stuck on 44 min and on the light cycle at 39 min. I have figured out that if you wash only it will get past that time and when you get close the end of the cycle you can push the dry button and it will go on to dry the dishes.

The machine appears to be washing properly just will not switch over from wash cycle to rinse and then dry.

Wow! Same problem here. It always stops at 44 minutes! Of course, there's no longer a warrantee on it. Whirlpool thinks it's probably the control panel, but I have to find someone to come out and check it.

Perhaps I'll try your solution for a little bit. If I get it fixed, I'll let you know what I found out.

I have the same problem, GU2400XTPT3 Quiet Partner III where the timer stops after 44 minutes on a Normal/Heated Dry Cycle, but the dishwasher keeps running.  Will try turning off the heated dry and see what happens.  If anyone has replaced the control panel and found that fixes it, please post.

Whirlpool dishwasher gu2400 pots and pans light blinking

I had this problem. Fixed it but not sure what i did. I suspect it was either a temporay short, moist connection, or sensitive door latch. I shut off the circuit breaker and let stand for about a week. Perhaps it is drying. Turn back on, and the lights maybe blinking again, but press cancel button. The 2 minute drain will go on, let it drain and wait. The lights may still be blinking but wait 5-10 minutes and it may reset like mine did. You may have try this process a few times, like i did. I was playing with the door a bit too, firmly open and close. Hope this helps.

I am having the same problem. Dried towels last night. This morning, I loaded it, turned it on, it did not lock the door or start drying (spinning) but the timer started counting down. I pressed Cancel twice, unplugged it for a few minutes then tried again. Problem still exists. Any suggestions?

Sharp R-1460A Timer counts down very rapidily and no heat

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for maybe an hour.

Whirlpool gu2400 dishwasher

You will have to reset the console. To do this, close the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash
-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

...all the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cyle finish (1-2 minutes).
You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.
