I have a Kenmore 80 series Heavy Duty Top loading washing machine model 11024832200. It has been leaking the last few times it has been used. I am not able to tell where the leak is coming from. I took the front off the machine, and inspected the hoses going to the pump and from the pump to the drain as well as the drain hose and they do not appear to have any cracks or holes in them. How do you tell if the pump is leaking as I visually inspected the pump and it didn't appear to have any cracks or mineral build-up on any parts. Is there a way to test the drain function to inspect for leaks before I put everything back together? Any help would be appreciated.
Well you can try filling the outer tub separately.with what you mentioned, the problem is certainly not with the drain hose or the pump. fill the tub separately with some water and if the leak is seen then the problem is certainly with the outer tub corrosion or crack on it.
