After getting the F1 error on my model 110.27086601 and looking at other posts here & elsewhere, I made one call to the "Product Resolution Center" at 800-847-9083 on 4/9/10. They answered quickly, looked up the model & serial number I gave them (begins with CT18) and confirmed that the unit is covered under the "upgrade plan" (as opposed to calling it a recall). They are sending the part directly to me today and they scheduled a Sears tech to come install it in 10 days (or less if the part arrives sooner). The part, shipping and service call are free. The whole call took less than 5 minutes and was no more difficult than ordering a pizza. The agent was polite, professional and a pleasure to deal with.
I'm pleased that 2 years after the warranty expired they are providing this repair free of charge and without any hassle.
To those who have had problems when calling or who will be calling, may I offer this tidbit for dealing with any customer service contact? Be polite and businesslike. The agent on the other end doesn't need to hear about "how disappointed you are, blah, blah" or that you've "been a loyal customer for 84 years" and you've "never had a problem like this" or any other editorial commentary - just be friendly, and say something like " Hi, I have an Oasis washer with the F1 problem and I understand that there's a recall covering this." That's exactly what I said and the agent efficiently handled everything from there.
Remember, the agent gets measured on the number of calls they complete so they just want to take care of you as quickly as possible. Help them by just simply stating the problem and just answering their questions with just the information requested. They are not there to listen to people whine - they've heard everything you have to say a thousand times and they will appreciate your brevity and no nonsense demeanor. Make it easy for them and they'll make it easy for you. Do your venting here if you must.

Front load greasy residue ,

Due usually to much detergent in each load, use smaller amounts.
To much detergent degrades the rubber seals and gaskets and rubber seal also in some front loaders around the door too!

Over the life of a front loading washer the seal/gasket degrades
largely due to the chemicals in the detergent as well as bleach.

Most gaskets/seals get hard and brittle therefore the over the life of a front loading washer
the seal/gasket degrades largely due to the chemicals in the detergent as well as bleach.

....please rate this ....thanks

Ok so you will all love this answer. Not only do I own this set but I also sell them at sears in des moines, ia. Ok so there was a recall on the controll boards it's fine don't be scared all you have to do is call 1800-659-7026 give them your info and model and ser.# they will then send someone out to replace the control board it takes about ten min for all of it and it is all free no matter when you bought it. But in mean time quick fix for all of you is to unplug the washer then hit power then stop over and over tell there is no power left in it then plug it back in and it will work fine for awhile you may have to repeat if it does it again. But after they come out it will work fine. yes this has happened to me it sucks it took two years to find out what was wrong they didn't even tell us I had to ask alot of parts guys and look it all up. So for everyone that this is happening to I'm sorry I just hope this gets out to all of you because I work very hard to know my product and take care of my customers ask any of them and it's not easy working STRAIGHT commission and people don't want to come back for these kind of things. But remember the reason why you came there in the first place we will give you the lowest prices in town and we know what we are talking about, well most do if not they ask me:) so I realy hope this helps someone out there.

OL error means the Motor Controller has sensed an Overload. The oL code means the motor control board is struggling to power the motor up. If it recurs after removing some clothes - usually this means a new motor control.... or worse - a new bearing. If it were a problem with the tub floating up, the unit would spin instead of nutate.Bearing failure in this machine is very common.I suspect the drive shaft and bearing are the problem. The bearing and shaft are part of the outer tub.

what is a nutator?i found one time that there's a gear under the agitator that wears and the agitator doesn't move, remove the agitator and you'll see a part with 6 screws in it under that is the part you need to change part W10820039

Mine is doing the same exact thing. Just after I press "Start", the F1 starts beeping. Then at 23 minutes into the cycle, it does it again. So frustrating! What is wrong with this machine?

call sears 1-800-659-7026 for recall information. Might be the circuit board issue...

Kenmore Oasis HE... • Answered on Jul 12, 2017

I placed a very detailed post on how to resolve this issue. If you are mechanically and electrically inclined, this will give you pretty much step by step directions. I also analyzed why this is happening. Please disconnect power before any work... There is 120V floating around inside to bite you! This is a common problem with the Oasis. The problem is with the interface control board in the console, and/or wiring harness to the board. I have repaired three of these problems in the last 6 months and it was the interface control board each time. The machine will still function normally except for the annoying noise. I don't know of an easy way to defeat the noise functions to the interface control board, or if it should even be attempted. You could cause more harm than good. It can be a bit pricey to replace, and can be tedious to remove. If you wish to attempt to repair, let me know and I can give you some step by step tips on how to remove.

Sears has a recall for the Kenmore Oasis washer. I have the exact same problem. Call Recall Line @ 1-800-659-7026 with Model number and serial number. The part is a control board that works with the spin cycle.

How is the water filling? Slower than it should?LF (long fill) Start by removing the hot & cold hoses off the back of washer ,now look inside the valve for clogged screens,if they are clogged ,clean them.If problem continues replace the water valve.
