Problem with tv APEX DIGITAL GB4308

I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY TV ITS LIKE A SPHERE IN THE MIDDLE GOING ACROSS IT HAS DIFFERENT COLORS RED BLUE GREEN I HAVE NOP IDEA WHAT THAT IS PLEASE HELP MY KIDS NEED THIS TELEVISION THEY DRIVING ME CRAZY.

On the main menu where I would normally watch satellite there is a stretched out X in blue, red and green colors. When I switch video channels then there is only blue red and green on the right side of the screen. What could the problem be and how to fix it?

I've videocon Bazooka made in India colour television, It often disappears picture and a line appears across the screen

You have to have the convergence ICs changed out. Possibly also a few resistors near the ICs if they burned up too. The chip is a STK392-040.

For that type of problem you will probably want to call a local tv repair shop and set up a service call. Average price is 60-80 dollars to have a professional check the set and provide you with an estimate. To me it sounds like maybe the vertical circuit has failed if you have colors across the center of the screen. Also there is probably a resistor and capacitor that need to be replaced on this one. Usually it is a repair that most shops will be able to handle for less than 1/2 the value of the unit which is the breakoff point for most people. I wouldn't suggest trying to self diagnose this one without test equipment. Good luck, Russmann..

Your APEX tv has a convergence problem which is fairly common.

GB4308 Ghosting

The cost I don't know, but this can be fixed. There are generally 3 lamps in projection T.V.'s, Red, Green, and Blue. They have to be aligned for the TV to project a clear picture. A credible TV repairman should be able to fix it. Depending on if it's new enough to be under warranty they may cover it as well. Really the only reason to get rid of it is if you want to get a new TV anyway. Depends on the cost of having the lamps aligned.

this could be a flyback problem a cheap part but the labor may be as much as $600.00 the problem will get worse untill your whole screen turns blue

My apex pf2725 tv screen is green

Hi,

Your posted/describe symptom seems to be that the green color drive is defective. The "lines going across" are flyback retrace lines brought about by the safe problem.

The corrective procedure would be to replace. In most TV units, color drive are three (3) identical transistors: for the blue, green and red. They are normally located at a small squarish PCB attached to pins of the CRT right at the rear end of the neck. More often, they are heatsinked. Repair should be a straightforward desoldering the defective component and replacing with a new one.

In some versions, color drive is a single IC power pack.

Still, it is also possible that the problem may be due to cold solder on any or all of the pins of the above describe transistor (or IC).

Convergence is when you aim all three of the projectors, your tv has three, so that the images they produce all line up with each other. This usually doesn't generate a white line across the middle of the screen though, there is a button on the front panel of your set that automatically converges the three projectors, you can try using that.

Apex gb4308 multi colored horizontal bow in middle or screen.

This is not an "STK" problem. Your problem is VERTICAL. You need to check your vertical chip for damage CN301 and check around it for any bad parts or loose connections. I've seen loose connections on the chip itself cause it to self-destruct.
