Hello
Your Apex TV has been locked. If you remember the lock code you have entered, enter the same to unlock it. Otherwise check the following.
Apex TVs use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The override code for many models is 6688. Other sets may not have one, or may have a default code of 1225 instead of an override code.
- To use the override code:
- Hit the MENU key to get to the menus.
- Go down to the SYSTEM menu and hit the right arrow on the remote control.
- Once in the SYSTEM menu, go to PARENTAL GUIDE. It will ask for your code.
- Enter the override code listed above. From here, you can turn on and off different rating restrictions, as well as set a new code.
No matter what the V-chip code is set to, the override code will still work. If you have a blank screen with a red key on the bottom left, simply press the (function or F) button and the mute button at the same time. This will unlock the screen and allow you to view the channel as desired
OK.

Remotes wont work on my tv
sometimes remotes are flukey he best thing is to gently stroke it south to north and calmly whisper 'come on alister'
I tried turning on my tv and i hear the click like
This TV will need to be repaired, What you hearing is a relay in the power supply unit not able to send power to make a circuit, okay this could be due to a bad powersupply,or bad flyback.
I would suggest bringing it into the shop $95 bucks to fix it for good. You be glad you did.

Can this tv get satellite tv
Yes, provided that you have a satellite service provider. I hope this solution is helpful. Please take a moment to rate this solution.
Apex TV/DVD Combo Internal Speakers
This is going to be a tough one. Odds of finding replacements that will exactly into this chassis, and somehow be screwed down securely will be difficult. Here's a thought.
I tried to look up the owners manual with no success. If the set has a audio output, most likely a left and right out on the back on phono connectors, you can head over the local Best Buy and snag a couple of powered speakers to fit the bill. I've seen them as small as your fist, and usually one has the amplifier built into it with the second being the satellite. Get the cable with dual phonos at one end and the correct connector at the powered speaker end (most likely a 3.5mm TRS like you use on a Ipod) and you're good to go. Figure to spend about $30 total. Good luck.
Coax that looks like RCA?
There is a distinct difference between coax and phono (rca) cabling. Coax, sometimes called RF, is a cable that carries audio and video at the same time, what we call a "modulated" signal. RF connections look as if they are threaded on the chassis of your TV or VCR etc. A lone "Phono" cable moves either audio or video, but not both at the same time, unlike coax.
If you are attempting to patch RF, your cable must be coax at both ends. Hope that helps.
