It seems my dishwasher soap dispenser is not releasing the dishwasher soap at the appropriate time. When I run the dishwasher and go to unload, there is soap oozing out of the open dispenser. It seems as if it is releasing the soap too late into the cycle? My dishes are spotty and white residue all over them. I have tried both solid powder soap and liquid soap, as well as the little solid soap cubes with Jet Dry. HELP!!!
This happened to me as well. I think I solved the problem. It started when I first lowered the top rack. In doing so, the door doesn't open all the way. It also won't open all the way if your cutlery rack is in the front and you've put large utensils like a spatula. Consequently, detergent dried under the latch and it wouldn't firmly catch. For months I put up with it never emptying completely. The other day I took a tooth brush and very hot water and cleaned under the latch. After, I could feel a difference in the way the latch operated (with greater pop on opening). So far its been doing fine. Hope this helps.

I'd check the spray arms it may be there is not enough water or the wataer is not getting where it needs to be to disperse the soap. that is where I'd start.

Seems that the soap is not getting dispensed properly. Every time I run a cycle and it finishes, I open the door and half of the (powder) soap is stll caked in the dispenser. Bottom dishes seem to get clean enough, but top rach is always still dirty.
