The pump has had it, & it is not presurising the water enough, also before u replace the pump, remove the inlet pipe, & check that the little gauze filter in the inlet valve is clean, when they block they dont let the water in fast enough to be pumped high enough.

Could be a bearing, but it could also mean something ggt past the intake screen at the bottom and was pulled into the impeller. Turn off the power, remove the screen and inspect the impeller intake for any obstruction and remove it.

They can be complicated to re-assemble. Best solution is to video the procedure (if you have a video camera) during disassembly and make notes and diagrams to orient things properly and make sure the correct screws go back where they shoud. Takes more time, but you'll be glad you did, it will save you a lot of aggrevation in the long run.

Normal wash and rinse only lights keep blinking on whirlpool gu1500xtls. tried cancel and uplugging and they still blink

Have Whirlpool GU1500XTLT1 with exact same symptoms, even tried power off but the lights resumed blinking when powered back up. Used solution from "kent168" of 17 Nov 2010 for similar GU1500XTLS1 with a different problem, and IT WORKED: "Reset the machine: press control buttons in this sequence: sani rinse, air dry, sani rinse, air dry, clear."

How do you get the Codes? for GU1500XTL

I am having the same issue. Did you find a solutions? Looks like websites I've searched talk about resetting the controls by hitting either high temp wash -> airdry -> high temp wash -> air dry OR saniwash -> air dry -> saniwash -> air dry. I'll have to try that tonight.

Reset the machine. Press the control buttones in this sequence: sani-rinse,air-dry,sani-rinse,air-dary then clear! That should do it!

I have a Whirlpool DU1500 that makes a buzzing sound when it is on. Also, my dishes do not get clean and my the detergent dispenser does not open when the wash cycle starts

Whirlpool GU1500 dishwasher - no wash cycle buttons would turn on

I had the same issue. If you have a 1100,1200,1500 etc you have the first series of the dishwasher and there is a heat sensor issue. The dishwasher runs and checks if the water heats up by 8 degrees. If the water doesn't heat enough then the washer will trigger shut down (assuming that there is an issue somewhere in the water heating process could be a variety of things) Alas, it may only be a one time issue and yet the programming in the dishwasher defaults to a shut down where the normal consumer can't get the machine to run. DO THIS: remove the kick panel on the front of the washer. Behind that is a document with a series of buttons that you push to reset the machine's computer e.g. you might have to press 'saniwash' then airdry then Saniwash then airdry. The machine will start the reset process and may also go through a 'cancel' function. After that you should be back in business. They have fixed this issue on the new machines so that the 8 temp trigger has to fail three wash cycles in a row before the consumer lock out is activated. As for those who own the first series....we do lots of resets. P.S. I learned this AFTER I bought two new panels for my GU1500.
