Hello, mt epson all in one printer is not printing or copying at all. Can this problem be fixed? If so how do I fix it? Thanks

Yes it can probably be fixed. I hope you poked your friend in the eye for giving you such a headache though. You will need to dismantle the machine and remove the Auto Sheet Feeder (ASF) Once removed, check there is no bits of paper stuck inside. Then turn the pick up mechanisme by hand through a couple of revolutions to re synch everything. Also check the paper sensor is still intact - if not you can construct a new one from a piece of plastic or if the old one is still present, just glue it back together. You can download a service manual to hep you out with the dismantling from either: http://www.TheServiceManualShop.com http://mikeburton.tradebit.com/

This seems like you have two separate errors.
For the loss of ink problem, see my previous posts about under head cleaning. This should get you going again, but if not, there is another known issue which causes these machines to stoip printing. This problem stems from a manufacturing "feature" which results in a broken pipe. To get a fix for this you should contact http://www.TheServiceManualShop.com and ask about there countermeasure for loss of ink in the Photo R series
The second error with the flashing lights depends on the sequence in which they flash. If the power light is off and the Ink and Paper lights flash half second on and half second off but alternating, then you have a maintenance request. This is easy to sort with yet another kit from The Service Manual Shop (R220 rescue kit)
If the sequence is Power light off but ink and paper flashing simultaneously then you have a fatal error. These are somewhat harder to attempt to fix and may require specialist knowledge and big parts that put the machine beyond economical repair.
Having said that, it can be worth taking the machine apart and removing the ASF assembly then reassembling as sometimes the feed mechanism ties itself in a knot and throws up a scary error.
Hope this helps a little

This can happen to cartridges with attached print heads. All cartridges are weighed and tested before leaving the factory so lack of ink isn't the problem. It usually has to do with the print head of the cartridge not having any ink to feed it. This happens because cartridges are kept flat or upside down for weeks or months before being used and the ink settles away from the print head. The easiest remedy is to open the box and stand the cartridge upright for a few minutes before using. Then get a damp paper towel, fold it into quarters and sit the cartridge print head down onto it. Hold the cartridge down to the damp paper towel for three minutes. This will help pull the ink out of the print heads, priming them and getting them ready to print. Finally, install the cartridge into your printer and print a few test pages.
