I hooked up my head unit last night, and pretty much everything works, but the head unit will not load or eject CD's and obviously DVD's. Is there a wire that I possibly didn't hook up that would power a motor? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I have the same problem! tuner works just fine. I cant access the dvd mode. i can only access tuner, video input, and rear cam. Ive tried different cds and dvds and it did not help. Also it seems like the ejection mechenism is running continuesly.
Is the unit New or used? And I take it that the tuner works and plays radio stations...how about the monitor will it come out and retrack? If there is power to the unit it could be a defect with the cd/dvd.

unplug the reciver from the back of it and wait for 20 sec. and plug it back in, this should allow you to eject. now turn off your car and jush eject, when it opens to eject's push the release button on the back of the face like your removing it but instead force the face to completely go down, as far as it will go. now turn your car on and put a cd in and see if that works for ya.
My father inlaw just purchased a 2001 lincoln, with a six disc changer, Question is he loaded the unit ,and now he wants to eject the cd's and the changer won't open? any suggestions thanks
SOUNDS LIKE THE EJECT BUTTON IS STUCK ON, TRY TAPPING ON THE EJECT BUTTON OR RECHECK THE WIRING TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE ALL THE WIRES IN THE CORRECT SPOTS. ALSO CHECK TO SEE THAT THE GROUND WIRE ON THE BACK IS CONNECTED AS WELL. HOPE THIS HELPS. LET ME KNOW. GOOD LUCK
ok make sure the cd is not scratched and the head unit is cleaned and also make sure the cd player unit is grounded good and make sure none of the fuses in the red wire (12v) are not blown or busted
I had the same problem with mine. The manual says to unplug it from the power and plug back in. That did'nt seem to correct anything. I also was having an issue with recording. It would'nt record data for tracks and recording would scramble. I had this burner for 10 years and loved it untill last night when it crapped out on me completely. I am VERY disappointed!
