The way you bypass the E Brake is you have to ground the wire to the radio sleev itself. There are two different peices. The radio itself and the sleeve that holds the radio in place. Take the yellow wire (the ebrake wire, not the yellow ignition wire) and open the metal connector up just slightly. Attach that wire to the top of the sleeve on 1 of the teeth located near the front of the unit. You have to make sure that the connection is good or it will not ground. Next slide the clear plastic over the wire so the only connection is with the tooth.
Then Insert a cd or dvd in the player. Press play on the remote and then push stop 2 X times on the remote. After you have done that press 26604 on the remaote and then press enter. This will permanently unlock the parking brake feature and allow you to watch dvds while in motion. If you need any further help you can eamial me.

The XDVD700 by dual is the easiest ebrake bypass to do. Take the yellow ebrake wire and connect it to a ground or connect it to a ground or the same ground as the dvd player itself, both will work fine. 100% functional, it doesn't change anything except for the fact that you can watch the dvd while in motion. Do not waist your time with those bs codes that never work, and if they do they work for about half a movie

You can solve this problem by hitting menu on the remote go to set up and turn the video out on. When you put in a DVD it will show you the blue screen still, but will go black hit the mode button twice on the remote and you should see a picture. It may go black one more time just hit the mode button once more and you can watch your movie. These are safty features that come on this player due to it being illegal to watch a in dash DVD player. Hope this helps...

If you want you can do the same as i did. Buy a toggle switch and ground one end out to the chassie of the body and the other end up to the ebrake and find a disclosed place to place it so that it isnt visible. When you have installed it open up the audio menu while you have dvd in click the toggle switch for one second then click it again off for a second, back one for a second off for a second. Then back on it will come on with the movie showing.

Being a radio shack man myself this is real easy to do.
All you need to do is go to radio shack and buy yourself a 12 volt or above momentary push button/switch (about $3) If the button swith/button comes with wires then just connect one end to the emergency brake wire from the radio and then connect the other wire from the switch to a ground to your car. You can use the same ground connection that you used for the radio and it will be fine. make sure you wrap up the wires to prevent shorts.
Also make sure that the switch that you buy can be mounted because you will need to use it every time you want to use the dvd.( you might need to drill a small hole for the switch depending on what you buy)Make sure you have enough wire so you can mount it where you can easily use it like under your steering wheel.
When you are ready to use the dvd put the dvd in the player and after a few seconds the screen will turn blue and the message to "Set the emergency brake" will come on. Now just press the switch/button for one second and release it. The screen takes about 6 second to display the video. If it does not work then try again but this time try to push the button/switch twice. In my truck I only have to do it once and it works fine but you get the idea.

XDVD700 Car DVD Player: I'M TRYING TO FIND BYPASS CODE?...

You do not need a bypass code. Pull out the stereo unit, take the parking brake wire and disconnect it from the parking brake sensor ground. Reconnect it to the radios ground wire and this will tell it that the vehicle is always in park and your videos will work while driving. It must be the stereos ground not just grounded to the frame or something. Must be a live source ground wire.

I have a xdvd700 dual and want to bypass the brake thing but no remote is there anyother way?

Usually there is a handbrake connection that needs to be grounded to the chassis in order to bypass the screen lock. I normally wire it though a switch to ground and back to the handbrake, so if the car is inspected it works like it should.

Some units feature a footbrake wire that needs to be pulsed as well. This is harder to override. I use a bypass device from Peripheral called the PAC-TR7.

How do i bypass the emergency brake wire on a dual xdvd700

Its illegal to do but i have done it! You have to connect the brake wire to either the pos or neg wire! You need to find out which one it is thou, so attatch it to the negative first so you dont cause any damage if it doesnt work then connect it to the pos wire and it should work a treat for ya! I stress connect to neg first!!!!!!!!!!
