My iRiver H10 5GB works fine, except when I choose a song to play, it plays the song, but i can not hear anything through the headphones, i have tried 4 different pairs and nothing works...can someone help me?

You can shuffle music with Iriver S100.
It's quite tricky, took me for a while to figure out.
1. Go to music page and then play any music.
2. Prees and hold the right arrow > the sub menu will popup.
3. Go to 'Play Mode' and then volla !!!! choose whatever you want.
normally when you go to the setting and then go to music then power up song you can change what song plays when the ipod turns on. hope this helps. if it doesnt im sorry :(
I called tech support because my daughter's was doing the same thing. I was told to let the song start to play, press the M button during the song, choose 'Repeat' which will bring up a list of options and then choose 'Normal'. It worked.
I have OS X on my Mac.
Quit all applications except Finder.
Open Finder and choose Go...Go To Folder
Type /Users/Shared/SC Info and click Go
(View as columns)
Select the SC Info folder and move it to Trash
Restart the computer and open Itunes
Everything worked fine after for me
its just a setting. you can choose to speed up/slow down the songs. just hold the right button until a menu pops up then go to playback settings and choose the speed (go to normal)
iRiver has a special DRM signature, and only recognizes certain file formats. iTunes will ont work with the iRiver,for instance. Here are the formats recognized:
MP3 file
: WMA file
: OGG file
: ASF file
: IRM file

Limited. The IRM technology protects copyright and property from
unauthorized usage of digital contents provided through iRiver

Use the proprietary software found on the IRiver website to transfer songs. If they still won't play, run the songs through Media Monkey or another Mp3 Converter to make them playable.
If you have a song up just click and hold to the right and a bunch of options should show up. The first option should be "play mode" and in there you can choose whether your playlist (or album, depending on how to navigated to the song) will shuffle and repeat.
