How to connect a Thomson T001 home theatre system to samsung 40" LCD Tv

There are 4 A/V inputs on Thomson Home theater system. I have three A/V outputs in the Samsung TV. The question is whether I need 3 pairs of RCA cable to connect from the TV to the Home theater system to make the Home theater speakers function.

SOURCE: No Sound In Home Theater with Dish HDTV DVR Dual Mode Remote Connection

I have a high definition Polaroid tv which I bought in 2007. I have it connected to Dish tv. It worked fine at first. Now when I use the Dish tv remote, the television won't power up. The red light, which appears when the television is off turns blue when I attempt to turn the tv on, but the screen stays black. Why won't the television come on anymore?

SOURCE: no sound though home theater when watching tv

There is an orange button on the remote, half way down in the middle. I belive it has orange lettering and says something like "TV-?" press that, and the sound should start to come through your speaker system. You can then use the original remote that came with your TV and turn the sound off on the TV to use just the theatre system. I noticed that if you use the TV speakers in conjunction with the theatre system, that it echo's.

SOURCE: Samsung HT-BD2R 7.1 Channel Blu-ray Home Theatre System

If your television has RCA style audio/video output you can use an audio RCA cable (red & white connectors) and simply plug from the 'output' of your television into the auxilliary input on the back of the HT-BD2.

Then select AUX on the HT-BD2 remote, whenever you wish to listen to the television audio.

SOURCE: v ipod mode in Samsung HT-Z420 home theater system not working

Plug a yellow video cable into the TV (IN) and the Sound system (Out) then go onto AV1 on the TV or which ever port you plugged the cable into and play a movie and u can see it. A menu doesnt come up like the A ipod funtion so it comes up no signal until u play an actual movie on the ipod. If u dont have a yellow video cable i think u can use the white or red audio ones.

Cant get hd sound through home theatre system

Hi,here is my simple solution...
to listen your TV on your
Panasonic Home Theater System
** you need to connect "Audio Output " RCA jacks or "Optic cable output" or "HDMI out "of your TV
** to "AUX input " or "TV" OR "Any input" of your receiver or "Optic Cable input" or "HDMI input"
** than just switch to respective mode on
Panasonic Home Theater System RECEIVER corresponding your RCA or Optic or HDMI connection
.
There you go..Your TV sound is on the
Panasonic Home Theater System Receiver..By this means whatever you watch on the TV (TV tuner, satellite , Xbox ..etc.) ,it's sound will come thru your stereo..

Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.
Take care and please

You have several ways to do this. You can hdmi cables from the two units and plug them into your tv if it supports hdmi and run the audio out portion on the back of the tv and hook that into one of the audion inputs on the surround unit. Or you run audio directly out of the bluray using rca, digital coax, or digital optical cable. Turn the surround reciever to the corresponding input that you choose to use.
