Panaonic Home Theatre DVD system only plays movies inblack white

Hi. I have Panasonic SC-HT75 home theatre system which is quite old but is awesome.I just purchased a Samsung LCD TV LA32B450 and
when i play movies thru the home system i get a black and white picture. The sound is good and the satellite tv plays thru the LCD fine and i get it in color.
Any suggestions? There is only one yellow slot on the TV and i have used it for the satellite tv.

Cheers!~

Steve

Thx mate. The side panel has a red , white , yellow (AV 1) which i use for the satellite tv and that's all good.
Component 1 and 2 have a red , white , blue & green and i used the yellow video cable from the home theatre to plug in to the green and hence get a black & white picture!
I could swap the yellow cables around when im not watching satellite to watch dvd's....just a pain.
Thx neway and have a gr8 day.

    Cheers!~

    Steve

Do u have progressive turned on in the home theater? Does it have the option of component? Are you using the side input on the tv, if you are the component 1 input is also AV1. Green = Yellow

Check the region and picture settings on the home theatre's dvd player, it could be set to put out a component signal, or it could be set to a PAL region rather than NTSC

Can I connect a Sony DVD Player DVP-SR90 to the Panasonic Home Theatre SC-HT75 to achieve surround sound without direct SCART connection - and how?

You can connect your Sony DVD player to your Panasonic HT using an analog RCA audio cable (white and red) for stereo sound. Connect to the AUX inputs on the HT and select AUX. Since the Sony DVD player only has SCART, you would need an adapter, scart to RCA. Like this one:

Check for compatibility. Use the red and black RCA plugs for the audio into the HT.

Your Panasonic HT does not have a digital audio input which would be required for multi-channel surround sound (Dolby Digital 5.1)

Panasonic home Theatre

You need to obtain audio leads and connect from home theatre directly to audio input in back of tv - be careful as there are normally 2 in back of tv
