SOURCE: Epson 9600 quit printing all

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

If you go back to the utility, are you able to confirm that the ink levels for all cartridges are not empty? If so, which are the two colours that do not print?

SOURCE: epson 9600 print head missing numerous nozzels

You willl probably need to clean the Pump Cap Assy.

You will need a strong flashlight/clip-on lamp to see what you are doing up in the area you are cleaning.

Move the print head to the left side of 9600. (If you need help with this let me know.)

Use a foam tipped swab slightly dampened with warm water to GENTLY wipe around the seal area of the Pump Cap Assy.

DO NOT USE A COTTON TIPPED SWAB !!!

Dip, Blot, & Wipe. Clean the Foam Swab often to wash off the residue it will pick up. Remenber to keep the swab slightly moist - not dripping wet.
---
If this does't help, it generally means that the Print Head is also very clogged with gummy/dried ink.

The Print Head cannot be cleaned without removing the Right Side Cover & then removing the Pump Cap Assy. This removing and cleaning is about a 1.5hr-2hr job for an experienced tech. Anyone with moderate mechanical skills can do it though.

Pump Cap Assy cleaning is usually done BEFORE replacing the Print Head.

If the Print Head cleaning doesn't work then a New Print Head is in order.

Hope this helps ! Good Luck !

SOURCE: Epson 1900 inket print head clogged

Hi There

Summary

Usage of compatible ink and leave the printer idle too long may cause printhead clogging
What should you do if you get this problem. Relax; you may recover the printhead by unclogging it. Follow these steps to unclog the printhead

1. Right click in the printer driver name
2. Select Properties menu
3. Click Maintenance tab
4. Click on cleaning sign for regular cleaning. Perform this up to 3 times.
5. If this does not work, perform Deep Cleaning

And if that not work

Some times it needs a good clean up but this is up to you if you want to do this,
But after you done this prime the printer so it gets the inks back in the heads, it may take a little time for the inks to work.

Ok.

There is fluid cleaner for this but I can never find any in the shops the only ones I seen is when they sell them in Tesco but they come in with the ink refill bottles so I just use worm water by it self on a cloth and dabbing on the heads to clean them, it will not harm the heads but not to much water.

Some heads are on the inks them self but some have them inside the printer so I not know your printer so if the heads are inside you need to get them out you may find that some heads will just clip out put some need to be unscrewed so you got to know how they come out so be careful and not push to hard on them, if the heads are on the ink then it is a easy job to clean them,
It worth a try it worked for me more than ones.

Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.

SOURCE: Epson R320 "General Error" message - unable to clear

If you are getting a 'carriage jam' error as soon as you turn on your Epson printer with no tasks in progress, then check for any piece of paper stuck in the carriage. Remove the paper carefully. If the paper tears, part of it might remain inside the paper path and damage the product.

Fix 'Carriage Jam' : Open Door, clear carriage jam,
and then press OK to continue' error message
Turn off the printer and open it to see where the paper is stuck.
Manually move the carriage toward the opposite side.
Check the paper path and remove any piece of paper or any other object that is stuck in the path.
Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

Printer error

Hi,

Here a few common problems that your Epson printer and ink cartridge can suffer from.

Improper Installation of Cartridges

A common Epson printer and ink cartridge problem! If you have changed the ink cartridges then you might just receive this error message. The message might state that the cartridge is not installed correctly in the printers. In such cases, re-install the cartridge in the correct manner. If the problem persists then it is advisable that you replace the cartridge as it might be defective. If you still get the same error message on installation of the replacement cartridge then its time that you clean the print head. You could do this yourself or could take it to a repair facility.

Printing Failure

Failure to print documents is yet another common problem with respect to Epson printers. The print heads of Epson printers are sensitive and this sensitiveness is the culprit behind such problems. If the print head is clogged or blocked you will have to unclog or unblock them. This can be done by using a special fluid that is available for just this purpose only. This fluid flushes the print head, and your printer is once again ready to print.

Communication Error

'Communication Problems' are yet another one of the common problems surrounding Epson printers. Once you give the print command you might be shown the message that there is a communication error between the printer and the computer. This means that there is the occurrence of a minor problem. One of the reasons for this problem could be the inappropriate selection of printers from the print options menu. Cable connections should also be checked. Another solution could be the re-installation of the driver of the printer.

Print Jobs that are Slow or Incomplete

These are problems that occur during an ongoing process. The printing might stop midway and then start again after some time. At times, the printing process will repeat itself several times and then finish printing the page. There are times when the page will finish printing, but you will find that it is an incomplete print. More often than not, this is not a printer related problem.

What might have happened is that the driver might have corrupted or a virus might have infected the computer; or a spyware might be affecting the working of the printing process. If such a problem occurs, the best solution would be to scan the computer for viruses and spyware. As can be seen these common Epson printers and Epson ink cartridge problems can be sorted out quite easily.

hope it helps..
