Dropping to a hard floor is always the reason when remote dont work.change the transmiter led or check some crack inside.clean the board and the rubber button with alcohol.

Check that a button isn't jammed. Do all the buttons press normally? maybe the remote needs a really good cleaning to remove the crud from the buttons.
What channels are you able to receive? When you press the Select button on DISH remote, which light on the top of the remote lights up? The Sat button should light up when you are in satellite mode. If any other button lights up, press and release the Sat button and then try changing channels. If this doesn't work, we may need to troubleshoot with you. Please call us on 1-800-333-3474 and speak with Tech Support. I hope this helps.
1. press and hold setup button until the red light stays on. 2. press and release the desired mode button (example t. v.) the light will blink and then stay on. 3. enter one of the 4digit codes. note: if the code is valid the light will turn off if it flashes it is an invalid code. 4. with the device on press the channel up and down. if the remote only controls some of the functions try another code.
If none of the the codes work try following these steps:
1.manually turn on the t.v. 2.press and hold the setup button. 3. press and release the tv button the light will blink once and then stay on. 4.press the channel button repeatedly up to 300 times until the device changes channels. the light will blink and then stay lit. 5. press and release the mute button to store the code the light will go off.
Do any experts know the answer to this question? It has been posted multiple times, but I dont' see any answers! It is a pitiful manual that is provided by Yamaha for this purpose and nothing is intuitive about making this work. If anyone know the answer, PLEASE POST IT!
