No sound from left channel

Hello Danza,

It's possible you've blown the left channel, but the fact that you have no audio in the left channel from both A and B speakers makes me wonder whether the balance control has been accidentally rotated to the right.

There is a rotary control on the front of the receiver for BALANCE. This should be in the 0 position, i.e. top dead centre. If it's been moved to the right, you wont get audio from the left channel from either A or B speakers.

Please check your balance control first then let me know if you need further assistance. You can reply to me by clicking on "Add a Comment" below your question.

Regards.

Yamaha M-60 Power Amplifier distortion and sound goes off sometimes

Being from 1985 or there abouts, it probably needs some TLC at a Yamaha service centre. May need new capacitors and resolder dry joints for age related issues.

Jerky sound in one channel Yamaha M-60 Power Amplifier

WD-40 ... Very dangerous as it not only flammable when wet but is bad for electrical contacts as it leaves a residue behind that does not conduct electricity very well. Check speaker connections first.

How do I connect a SpeakerCraft BB275 to a Yamaha 5.1 receiver?

You can't do this. The SpeakerCraft is a standalone amplifier. The Yamaha is a Receiver and has its own amplifier. Putting amplified sound into a data input is not recommended and will cause component damage and overload 'clipping'. https://www.google.com/search?q=SpeakerCraft+BB275 https://www.google.com/search?q=Yamaha+5.1+receiver I deleted the two answers from AI Answer Bots as they are not doing you any favours suggesting it can be done in their waffling answers! ..

To fix or replace? My Yamaha RX-V663BL 7.1 Channel AV Receiver bought in 2009

Thanks for the compliments Gilbert. You have tried the reset so a Yamaha audio tech is the answer. This link will find you one close to where you live. There is probably a glass fuse on the power board, but you have to find out WHY the fuse blew? It is worth fixing in my opinion. https://www.google.com/search?q=yamaha+audio+repairs+near+me It does have a thermal fuse https://www.google.com/search?q=yamaha+rx-v663bl+no+power+on ..

KEF T301 Satellite Speakers. I can't get these to work is there a secret to these wall mount speakers?

Question edited for clarity and all the typos. The Yamaha receiver has to have a sound source and the speaker wires connect the two together. Receivers often have a a switch for Speaker set 1 and Speaker set 2, so you can send the music to two different rooms. Make sure you are on the correct set. These are supposed to be standalone television speakers by the looks of it connected to what they call an 'AV Processing Unit', I would guess more commonly called a Surround Sound Theatre System. Expensive speakers at $900. https://assets.kef.com/uploads/files/en/series_pdf/T301_T301c.pdf https://www.google.com/search?q=kef+t301+no+sound+from+speakers https://www.google.com/search?q=kef+t301 ..

I have a Yamaha RX-v1800 amplifier. Need help connecting a Bluetooth music receiver

To connect the Bluetooth music receiver to your Yamaha RX-V1800 amplifier, you will need to use one of the available input options on the amplifier. The Yamaha RX-V1800 should have various audio input ports, and the specific connection method will depend on the output options provided by your Bluetooth music receiver. Here are the general steps to connect the receiver:
  1. Identify the audio output options of the Bluetooth music receiver: Check the output ports of the Bluetooth receiver and determine what type of connection it supports. Common output options include:
    • 3.5mm headphone jack (analog)
    • RCA (analog)
    • Optical (digital)
  2. Choose the corresponding input on the Yamaha RX-V1800: Depending on the output options of the Bluetooth music receiver, you need to select the appropriate input on the amplifier. The Yamaha RX-V1800 should have various input options, such as:
    • AUX (usually a 3.5mm stereo input)
    • CD (analog RCA input)
    • DVD/BD (analog RCA input)
    • OPTICAL (digital optical input)
  3. Connect the Bluetooth music receiver to the amplifier: Use the appropriate cable or adapter to connect the output of the Bluetooth music receiver to the selected input on the Yamaha RX-V1800. Here's how to do it based on the different output and input options:a. If the Bluetooth receiver has a 3.5mm headphone jack (analog output) and the Yamaha amplifier has an AUX input (3.5mm stereo input), use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable to connect them. b. If the Bluetooth receiver has RCA outputs (analog) and the Yamaha amplifier has corresponding RCA inputs (CD or DVD/BD), use an RCA cable (red and white connectors) to connect them. c. If the Bluetooth receiver has a digital optical output and the Yamaha amplifier has an optical input, use a digital optical cable to connect them.
  4. Set the input source on the amplifier: Once the Bluetooth receiver is physically connected to the amplifier, you'll need to select the corresponding input source on the Yamaha RX-V1800. Use the amplifier's remote control or front panel to select the input source you connected the Bluetooth receiver to (e.g., AUX, CD, DVD, OPTICAL, etc.).
  5. Pair and play: Turn on the Bluetooth function on your iPhone, put the Bluetooth receiver into pairing mode, and pair it with your iPhone. Once paired, you should be able to play your music from the iPhone, and the audio will be transmitted to the Yamaha RX-V1800 amplifier for playback.
Please note that the specific labels of the inputs on your Yamaha RX-V1800 might differ slightly from what I've mentioned, but the general concept of connecting the Bluetooth music receiver remains the same. Always refer to your amplifier's user manual for the exact location and naming of the input ports.
