C5150 ALL IN ONE Printer

The printer has seen very little use. I was having a cartridge problem, I fit that. Now I have a flashing power button. The printer sounds like it's trying to work then I get a flash from the cancel light and the screen goes black and comes back on. Then it repeats all over again and again. Each time the power button goes off for about 4 seconds.

First of all it require servicing like cleaning of steel rod inside in the printer on which print heads move ,that you can do with lubricant oil and second thing you need to change the cartridges because they may be already dry because you have limited use. In short if you can do this entire thing well otherwise I advised you to show it service center.

Hope this helps. Please rate my response.
Thanks.
Have a good day

The quanity light is flashing "E". The ink cartidge is flashing on the printer. I have replaced the ink cartridges. Have reopen and reinstalled. Still nothing. Icon comes on showing ink has been replaced...

Dear Sir/Ma'am,

• To resolve this issue remove the cartridges and then the printhead (Upon removing the cartridges look into the slot where the black cartridge fitted into. On the vertical wall at the back you will see two small contact points. Place your finger above those points on the black plastic and run your finger towards the top of the printhead. You will feel a little button and by pressing it , it will release the printhead.)
• Remove power
• Please now check for any objects or paper that might be obstructing the movement of the printer carriage - if any are found please remove them
• Wait 5-7 minutes
• Reinsert power
• Reinsert printhead (When inserting the Printhead please ensure that you hear it click into place)
• Then re-insert cartridges, black first then colour. Please also ensure that you hear them clip into place

I have a HP Photosmart C5150 printer. It says it can't print, to replace the yellow ink cartridge. I have replaced the cartridge twice but I still can't get the printer to print and it is still...

Please see this link. It's a bit unorthodox as a solution, but if you've already worked through the cleaning options available at hp here, it's worth a try. Certainly cheaper than buying new cartridges that don't work.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

Try reseating the toner cartridge, it might not be in good. Reseat the whole drum unit (the part the toner fits into).

Replacement Cartridges and Reset Button Orange Led

That usually means that the chip on a re-manufactured cartridges had not been reset properly.

Ensure you removed the little cello strip from bottom side of cartridge.
Try unplugging printer power cord for five minutes, and also re-fitting cartridges.

If that does not work call the company and have them replaced.

Note: for the future, it is better buying always original new cartridge rather than refilled/refurbished ones, as you do not know as many times a refilled had been used. On sporadic occasions refilled cartridges can fail and damage the printer.

Ibought yellow ink and it says i need yellow why/?

Hello,

Typical ink jet printer, cant see the cartridge. I would consider cleaning the connectors where the cartridge goes some times these don't send good signals to the computer. If that doesn't work it could be a board problem in that case it would be cheaper for you to buy a new printer. I know this may sound stupid, but did you take the tape off the cartridge before you installed it? I have to ask because I have seen people put toner in printers that still had the packaging tape with signs saying "please remove before installing". So check that out and see if that resolves the issue. Use cue tips and rubbing alcohol and clean all the posts and make sure the cartridge is firmly back in its place when you are finished.

Thanks,

HP C5180 yellow cartridge empty

Thanks for everyone for posting there problem with HP C5180 with the yellow ink being empty. With out this I would not figure and made attempt to fix it.
Credit to Longtimemacuser @ http://h30434.www3.hp.com/psg/board/print?board.id=Printing&message.id=525&page=1&format=page

Same here-  I'm running into this problem for the second time in less than 3 weeks on my HP C5150. . Brand new cartridge installed, and it is fine for a day - then 2 days later, after NO color printing - it suddenly shows as completely empty.

Last month when I had the same problem, customer support suggested the following, which seemed to work.
(typos were theirs - I just copied and pasted):

Please try the following step's
Power your C5150 on and remove all 6 cartridges and close the cartridge access door
With your C5150 powered on unplug the power cord directly from the back
Press and hold the OK button and the HELP button down together while you plug the power cord back in
Keep the button's held down until the display screen goes blank then release the button's and power your C5150 back on
When you are prompted on the display screen to install the cartridges install all 6 cartridges and close the cartridge access door
Are you still getting the same message ?

I did the printer reset but I only removed the yellow cartridge. follow the on-screen prompt and this process will take about 3-5 minutes. When everythings done, suggest to clean the printer head

Hope this help
Anthony L.

Canonc mx300 office all-in-one 5100 problem

Verify that all your cartridges are in properly first.

Try cleaning the encoder/timing strip. It is the plastic strip that runs the length of the printer behind the cartridge carriage, it is full of little black vertical lines. I've also seen that the strip can move out of place, make sure it is centered in it's slot.

Also check the gear that are visible with the printer open, look for an obstruction, use a flashlight it helps. Also look for a stuck piece of paper somewhere, it may be hard to find but look very carefully.

Also try a reset may work:

1. Turn off printer
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not,
press the Power button once more.
8. Your printer should respond as normal.

If non of this works, try printer a test page from the printer and let me know if that works OK.
