My Singer Quantum 9960 doesn't seem to be moving the material when I am sewing. It sews in the same spot and then the material gets stuck.

Am guessing you've already verified the feed dogs are in the raised position. The other thing to check is the presser foot pressure. If you are sewing lighter weight fabric, you may need to increase the pressure to make more contact with the feed dogs, or lighten the pressure when sewing thick fabric. Something else that may help is using a roller, teflon, or walking foot.

On the other hand, if the feed dogs are not moving like they should even if you have the stitch length higher, your machine may need service. Be sure you've cleaned the feed dogs of any accumulation of lint, dirt, debris. Of course, if you have used the machine a lot, the feed dog points do wear so they may not be gripping like new.

The Feeder Dogs are not moving forward or backwards on my sewing machine.

Are the Feed Dogs dropped? Check your manual for the location of the switch. .... otherwise your mechanism has been compromised. Take it in for repair.

The material feed isn't working on the borrowed machine that I am using. Is there an adjustment? I have to feed the material by hand!

Are the feed dogs up? Can you see them moving?
Sew without fabric and you should see the feed dogs moving back and forth under the needle plate. There may be jammed threads in it if it is not moving. Not sure about your machine but most needles plates either flip up or can be unscrewed to check underneath for clogging.

I have a Singer Stylist 513 & I cannot get the feed dogs raised.

The model 513 Singer has two gears which operate the feeding mechanism. If one of these gears is broken, the machine will run except the feed dogs will not move. This is a very common problem with this model.

Teeth do not move material forward when sewing

the problem is the feed dog is in the wrong position,, in the operation manual it should tell where the feed dog is on that sewing machine, & what position it's suppose to be in to sew normally

Material doesn't move

Are the feed dogs engaged? Janomes usually have a feed dog sliding switch, either on the back of the sewing machine at the bottom, or behind the accessory case. Be sure the check it out. Hope this helps!
