I got a C9 error on a C12AWR artcool split ac which doesn't work anymore i replaced the mainboard of the outdoor unit which didn't help i replaced the fan motor which didn't help either does someone know how to fix this ? thx

Get the model number of your mini split unit (on tag on indoor unit and outdoor unit) Google hitachi error codes. You should be able to pull up a code list for that unit. I believe it may be a communication problem between the indoor and outdoor unit. Possible bad connection of wire going from outdoor to indoor unit

Split = Outdoor unit fan problem. Check Outdoor fan motor is plugged in, Electrically & Mechanically sound, if not replace motor, otherwise replace PCB.
Multi V= Indoor unit EEPROM error - Replace the indoor unit PCB, and then make sure to do Auto addressing and input the address of central control.

For all wall mounted and Artcool split system codes

Error code = C1 or CH1
Flashing Light = 1
Fault = Indoor temperature sensor open or closedcircuit.
Display = Indoor.
Indoor Operation = ON

Error code = C2 or CH2
Flashing Light = 2
Fault = Outdoor temperature sensor open orclosed circuit.
Display = Indoor Outdoor.
Indoor Operation = ON

Fault code. 6. From what I have read 1 of 2 items. The unit has completely lost freon charge. Or 2, outdoor has overheating problem, ie. condenser fan motor not running

I get the same error. It is a $2000 piece of wall art.

CH 5 on these machines indicates a communications error between the indoor and outdoor units. Generally, it will require a replacement outdoor board assy to repair it. Lookup LG parts on the internet or ring them for your nearest Agent or parts stockist.

Look for your model number on your condensor, outdoor unit. Your tonnage will be towards the end of it and divisable by 6. I.E. 36=3tons or 42=3.5tons. Ac units are messured by the half ton. If you have a split system I.E. heater inside and ac outside your system will be 1 - 5 tons. If this doesn't help post your model and serial number. I can then give you tonnage, age, so forth.

Indoor unit return air sensor fault, Open or Short. Disconnect sensor from PCB and measure resistance. 8 kOhm at 30C and 13 kOhm at 20C if not replace sensor.
