Carrier Comfort Zone II Thermostat is blank and the 3 companion thermostats are all showing Error Code C1. What does that mean?

    I am having the exact same issue, how did you solve? My HVAC repair man isn't able to fix it and I don't know what else to do.

Hi Anonymous,
For all wall mounted and Artcool split system codes

Error code = C1 or CH1
Flashing Light = 1
Fault = Indoor temperature sensor open or closedcircuit.
Display = Indoor.
Indoor Operation = ON

Error code = C2 or CH2
Flashing Light = 2
Fault = Outdoor temperature sensor open orclosed circuit.
Display = Indoor Outdoor.
Indoor Operation = ON

I have a Comfort Zone CZ1500W showing an AO5 error code. I have 9 ohms across each element. The fan thermostat reads open. When I bypass it the fan runs, but no heat. The element thermostat reads
Everytime I turn on the CZ heater, the display reads A05 and then it goes away when i set the temp. As far as I can see and feel, I'm not experiencing any issues with the heating, fan, or thermostat or the extension cord running hot. I'm concerned that something could be wrong or unsafe, with Comfort Zone filing for Chapter 7, anyone know who is offering support or a number I can contact?

I suspect that if you change the battery in the thermostat. All will be right again.

Our Carrier Comfort Zone II thermostat, which has 2 zone readouts, currently shows a temperature of 00, as in zero zero, on one zone. That is the main zone for our home. Zone 2, for spare bedrooms, etc....

I noticed they have an option of talking to an engineer, and perhaps they could explain how to reset or set the unit.

Blank readings on Carrier Comfort 3 zone thermostat
The stat that works is called the main and the other two are called slave stats. The stats must be set to heat or cool the same as the main. If you want one room to cool and one to heat , sorry. Need to upgrade to auto changeover. Is this AC actally a Heat pump?

the e2 error on your thermostat is a problem with the return temp sensor on your system, the only thing you can really do is call a company and replace it, you can't bypass it or remove it cause the system wont run properly

Thermostat issue with comfort zone II.
Is this an electric or gass furnace - Eather of these can can have this problem its most recomendable that you call a seviceman .
in the case of electric furnace you may requier a new heat sequencer. And in the case of gass you may requier a new relay.

My Heat will not work on my upstairs unit. I am getting an E2 error code on my carrier thermostat. what does that mean?
the e2 code on a carrier comfort zone thermostat is indicitive of the external safety sensors which are located on your units ductwork in the attic. the e2 code are the hpt/ and lat sensor codes. the hpt is the heat pump temperature sensor and the lat is the leaving air temperature sensor. you can pull off the cover of the panel and behind it will actually give you all the fault codes associated with you carrier tsat.each sensor has a certain ohm rating and if its out of the range it will fail. now as to the reasons for failure, the indoor coil could be dirty, filters dirty, refrigerant charge incorrect.

Carrier Comfort Zone II thermostat not cycling at target temperature Carrier HVAC/gas furnace replaced 4 years ago. Home is set up for 4 zones. Went on a 2-week vacation and placed the system on All Zone/Hold. With system now back to normal, if selecting a temperature(cooling mode) that's lower than the program temperature, the unit runs continuously, cooling several degrees below the selected temperature. Example: Zone 2 program temp at 79, manually reset at 77 with the expectation that the temp will reset to program at the next time interval. If I reset to the original program temp of 79, the unit still continues to cool. It was 72 when I turned it off. Reselecting 'cool', it stayed off and resumed program mode. Is this a sensor or thermostat problem? Carrier service tech seemed unsure but suspects the sensor. It happens in other zones as well.
