Hi, I believe it is asking you to make a boot disc. You can for go that function. During set-up you will be asked to make a boot disc for Virus removal. You don't have to do that. Mcafee wiill remove most or all viruses. Good luck.

Well, first acer brand is cheap, and they don't give you a factory restore disc or a restore partition drive like most other laptop. However they give you the option to make a factory restore disc yourself, there is a program in the laptop ( browsing through your start task bar) should be a program such as acer recovery management, from there on use that program and make a retore disc. Once disc is created, you can go ahead and procced to restore your laptop in which you need to change your boot option to disc during startup of the laptop in order to boot from the recovery disc you just made.
