Try updating your sound card audio driver and that would fix the issue.

Also install the KLite Codec pack which will enhance your audio and Video quality and also will allow you to play any video and audio formats

You can download KLite codec pack by simply searching it on google.

My jvc UX-D66 B micro system sound is very distorted and crackles when listening to music I checked the wires and they are fine it is the same through aux what could be the problem any advice please

You may have blown the speakers by playing too loud. Try listening with a pair of quality headphones. If the sound is clear through them - then the speakers are most likely the problem.

Speakers have a crackle in the sound also rear speakers not working

can mean several things. The crackle is subjective and can mean distortion. Distortion most of the time comes out of the amplifier. Could be you have blown a capacitor in the power supply of the amplifier, making it work with quasi half the voltage. There is no need to change the polarity on a speaker, because when one is not working infuse, it won't distort the music. You only could have difficulty with the stereo sound. It could be a bit unclear where the sound is coming from and could sound a little less powerful.Check the speakers on a different amplifier, to hear if I'm right. Only if you switched on sound while the amp was giving full power, you could have blown the speakers, but most of the time they don't give any noise after that.

I have a Marantz 2275 receiver hooked to some JBL speakers. I noticed one of the speakers crackling. I swithched the speaker wires around and now the other speaker crackles so I'm guessing it is

Doesn't sound like it's a speaker - more likely a fried chip or transistor causing harmonic distortion.
It's usually more cost effective to replace modern audio components than to fix them.

Sounds like your speakers might be bad. Try some headphones and see if you still hear it.

After a few minutes of playing a cd or the radio, the speakers make a thumping/crackle noise and the music stops. The stereo stays on. Just stops playing music. Any ideas?

Hello

OK, this is just a suggestion, without analysing the unit myself.

From my experience with these type of units, it is usually overheating of the IC's on the circuit board.
You can do another test just to double check. Turn the unit off, unplug it from the wall supply for about 10 minutes. Then plug the unit back in and turn it on. Now turn the volume very high, without the speakers starting to distorted, where you can still hear a clear sound.

Now, if this is an IC overheating, the sound should start distorting and cutting out. This is actually a very common occurrence with these types of players as well as receivers in general.

Try the above, let me know what happens.

Also, please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance.

Kind regards
Andrea
