Tip & How-To about Lexmark X7675 Wireless All-in-One Printer

2008 printers to print wirelessly in Ubuntu Linux.

How to make 2008 printers to print wirelessly in Ubuntu Linux. So far this work around is only applicable to 2008 products with Linux support.

1. Install any 2009 Linux printer driver – The purpose of installing any 2009 printer driver is to get lxnet. Currently, the 2008 printers don't have the lxnet.

Not lexnet nor lexnet3 but lxnet...
NOTE: If you misspelled this one - you will get an error... during CUPS or during printing..

2. Install the 2008 Linux driver for the printer.

3. Copy lxnet from /usr/lexinkjet/lxk09/bin/ to /usr/lexinkjet/08zero/bin.

From terminal:
sudo cp /usr/lexinkjet/lxk09/bin/lxnet /usr/lexinkjet/08zero/bin/

4. Add wireless printer through CUPS.

URI: lxnet://:1/
Not lexnet nor lexnet3 but lxnet...
NOTE: If you misspelled this one - you will get an error..."bad device uri" or "client not possible"

5. Thank you....

I am going to buy a Rocoh Aficio 1600 Le. Does it work on Ubuntu and Linux Mint without problem

Are you going to be connecting this directly to a computer? Or are you going to set this up on a network?

Either way, it should work.

For Network Printing, you will need to setup a print server on your Ubuntu, or Mint Linux, and tell the print server what the IP Address of the printer is.

You shouldn't have any issues.
