The behavior you describe suggests that the mic is not getting power. Since it is a condenser mic, it requires what is usually called "phantom power". This should be provided thru the USB port. Check to be sure that the USB port is supplying that power. Check with another port for example. If that fails, you may have a defective mic.
That's the way it's supposed to work. It's a mono microphone, so there's only one signal to record.Set up your recording software so that it only records the Left channel. It describes how to do this on the Samson FAQ page and in the Owner's Manual:"In your digital audio workstation (DAW), create a mono audio track, and set it to the Left channel of the C01U (the Right channel should be ignored). Arm the track for recording, and adjust the input gain by using the software control in your computer's operating system"Don't try to alter the pan so both sides are the same; that will just screw up the levels and noise.
open up the sound icon on control panel...select recording......select samson mic....make sure set to default.....go into properties ...and boost main volume slider....most mics after install are set quite low and you have to go in and adjust the vol input level
the Samson C01U picks up the noises running inside the computer, or laptop whichever you have. You can't change that. But if you want to get rid of it. I use Cool Edit Pro. There's this effect we have for Noise Reduction. I won't go further on unless you have this program, or something similar. But basically it takes out any unwanted static
you first 3 people are idiots... maybe if you had worked with the hardware you would know how the mic works because its obvious you don't. The 4th person is correct because this is exactly how i use the mic and it captures sound in stereo format beautiful when set up rite. Using it in mono, whether use keep on one channel or two drastically reduces the crisp sound that this mic can record.
Hello Sampson
People ask questions. Experts answer them. No one get paid, people answer just for the joy to be able to help others.
People who use AI Chat GPT to answer, people who answer just for points get deleted. Points are for fun.
It isn't a 'program', it is a peer to peer self help website.

There could be several reasons why your Samson Airline CR77 receiver is not producing any output:
Volume levels: Ensure that the volume levels on the receiver are turned up and not muted.
Output mode: Check if the output mode on the receiver is set to the correct mode (balanced or unbalanced).
Cables: Make sure that the cables used to connect the receiver to the sound board are functioning properly and are plugged in correctly.
Interference: Check if there is any interference from other wireless devices operating in the vicinity. This can cause signal dropouts and affect the receiver's output.
Dead batteries: Check if the batteries in the receiver are charged or need to be replaced. A low battery can cause a drop in output.
If none of these solutions work, you may need to contact Samson's customer support for further assistance or consider taking it to a professional technician for repair.
Any that can plug into the unit. The quality of the sound will depend on what you are willing to pay for the microphone.
I would take the unit to a shop that sells microphones and they will be able to get you a right one for the unit.

i would guess a cap blew, and overheated the power transformer, should cost about $150 to fix, and the speaker is worth maybe $2-300, depending on the model
