Samson co1u recording issue
you first 3 people are idiots... maybe if you had worked with the hardware you would know how the mic works because its obvious you don't. The 4th person is correct because this is exactly how i use the mic and it captures sound in stereo format beautiful when set up rite. Using it in mono, whether use keep on one channel or two drastically reduces the crisp sound that this mic can record.

Hello, I just purchased the
1. Try the microphone on another USB port and check.
2. If not OK, try the microphone on another computer and check.
3. If OK on another computer, re-install it or recover the O.S. from a backup.
4. If on another computer the same problem exists, the microphone could have a internal control defect.

My Computer Cannot Detect it...Its
This kind of problem is very common when you have a computer that has been formatted or some kind of error occurred that required it to remove some part of the drivers designed to control the external devices. In other words, the driver which was responsible for handling this device is no longer available on your computer and as such, the computer cannot handle it unless it is reinstalled.
To do this, there are several methods by which you can go.
First of all, you can insert the disc that came with the device when it was bought and connect the device. When it asks you to install the driver, all you have to do is to set it to read from the CD-rom and it will automatically find the drivers and install them too.
Secondly, if you cannot find the disc that came with the device, you can search online for it and download it to a safe location on your computer and set it to read from that location. If you cannot find the driver, you can drop the complete make and model of the device and i would help you to get the required drivers to make your device function properly.
Hope this was helpful? Please comment for more information and thank you for using FixYa.

I have 2 samson mics
the usb mic can't be used with the m box, it can be used as a source in your audio software however. When you assign your audio sources look for USB Codec in the choices. I have a USB mic and it works great

My mic is maken loud sounsdsn i dont knw how to
Turn all your levels down.. ALL of Them. does that help? if the noise stops, proceed to slowly turn each volume up some one at a time. that may help figure what is causing the problem. if not could be small programming issue between the mic and the input program. i would look threw your settings menu for the recording software. see if there are any input or recording preferences/settings. i don't know if the mic came with setup software or a manual. may help alot. probably just one little setting off. learning will only help in the long run

Depending on what audio production program you are using you will need to have the monitoring function engaged. Comment with what program and I can walk you through it.
Good Luck,

Whistling background noise with Samson C01U USB condenser mic
Welcome to the world of STUDIO microphones. Super quality BUT you must have a studio to use them. You can't have any local speaker playing into them. You often use headphones lest your monitor speakers will feedback. At the high frequency capability of these mics, you can fry your amps with oscillations above what you can hear!
