Amana DK25 Dehumidifier - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Should I clean or replace the air filter?
You can wash the filter with water, no problem. However, I would recommend replacing the filter every 3 to 4 months depending on how much you use the dehumidifier. The exposure to constant moisture will cause the filter to grow mold over time.

Amana D965e-e dehumidifier leaking
I encountered a similar problem (using the bucket, but still getting water leaking onto the floor) with my 970E-E. The problem is a design flaw. If the bucket is not firmly pressed into the dehumidifier, there is a slight air gap between the bucket and the dehumidifier on the left side. Within the gap, warm moist environmental air cools. Water condenses in the gap and pools up at the bottom of the bucket shelf, eventually spilling over onto the floor. You can check and see if this is your problem by pulling out the bucket and inspecting for droplets along the left side of the bucket shelf. My solution was the bungie the bucket into the shelf firmly so that there is no air gap.

The piece on the back is broken
If it is made of plastic, try using super glue to fix it. Give it 1 hour to dry. Then reconnect the hose.

It does not dehumidify and
A dehumidifier needs time to work you can't plug it in and over night see a huge differences, depending on the size of the room and how must water or over moister is there it could a few days to really start working for you. how long have you had it running? how big of an area or you working it in and yes if you could get the model number i can better help you with a size of room it can handle.

What numbers do i set
If you want to remove a lot of moisture/humidity, set extraction level on 35%. That's the arrow down button. If you want to remove less moisture/humidity raise the extraction percentage level. That's the arrow up button.
Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

/my dehumidifier has a hose
The hose attachment is used in place of the water collection bucket, to drain the water directly into a floor drain or a sump pump holding tank. A garden hose is connected to the "hose attachment" and run to the floor drain or sump pump holding tank. However, it will not drain UP, only DOWN.
Hope this helped.
